  1. Well hey there! My shits in a box still. New pistons, cleaned up cylinders, new gaskets, everything is ready just haven't had time to do anything with it since spring.
  2. went to book a camp site last week for sep 27-30th for my buddy's bachelor party at LSOK before i learned everything was booked and it was the BHQ rides fault. FYF. If anyone is staying over at Dueces Wild we will be there partying in lot #23 with my brothers rig and a bunch of 3 wheelers plus my turbo yxz. See you guys out there, temps and weather all look decent
  3. Never mind the fucker heat seized. Needs bored and some new parts. My brother is splitting the cases now to see if everything else is fine or what. Oh well, try again lol
  4. just reserved a few camp sites up there for the weekend after next. I finish moving to Dallas this weekend so im only 5 hours from LSOK instead of 9 hrs from my house in St Louis. Friends/family coming out from MO, we are arriving late thursday night and staying through Sunday noon. Hoping to get my banshee back together in time. We have spots 516 and 517 right by the entrance to the sand reserved, feel free to come out and ride with us or caravan out there from Columbia MO/Dallas TX!
  5. Some pre carnage shots. Busy moving but my brother is going to tear it down to see if he can figure out what failed in the next week for me My buddy Solle riding it as a back up one day, he brought a 450r Honda trike conversion that kept overheating so I stuck him on the Shee for a ride
  6. Thanks for the offer to tear it down though man! At this point I'm broke from the week long Glamis trip, buying the YXZ, and buying a house. 40 bucks to ship a busted motor ain't in my budget this year lol
  7. I'm not worried about it, just a bike. And I wouldn't blame port work, no way that would do anything. I've toasted plenty of top ends but never locked anything up, air leaks burn rings this wasn't a lean condition something came lose.
  8. Bike ran strong as fuck for about 3 hrs before it locked up. Not sure if a wrist pin came out or what. It locked up at WOT, we towed it back 4 miles out of the dunes. Tried to see if it was free At camp and it fired up making some nasty noises. Coming back apart soon but I'm movin all my shit from STL to my new house in Dallas so I won't have time for a few weeks. On a side note my turbo YXZ ran its dick off all week 300+ miles bouncing off the rev limiter without an issue.
  9. damn skippy! i really like these pipes, they should sing on the ported motor this time around. my only complaint from them is the chrome plating being a little shitty.
  10. My brother Eric wasn't tryin to wring it's neck yet just doing some mild pulls short shifting. His wife was just taking small videos to send me on Facebook messenger. He just called me again to tell me how hard it pulls lol. He owned a power sports shop for a few years and built a handful of banshees but none ran this strong apparently Eric built a shelf system in his new enclosed for this trip, looking good in terms of space so far! Need to throw some paddles on the yxz still
  11. My brother making some laps messing around before it's loaded in the trailer for Glamis https://vimeo.com/202671348 Thinking I might actually enjoy some seat time instead of rocking the YXZ1000 the whole time
  12. Runs its ass off and shifts like butter https://vimeo.com/202656264
  13. Forgot to mention that, I lost 1psi of the 6psi in 6 minutes, I was having trouble with my leak down tester sealing up perfectly but the motor is tight and perfect. I'm happy with how it turned out, and it actually has a decent amount of compression with the fresh top end which is reassuring. Started with your jetting and needle settings too, I'm betting it runs its ass off. Just need to force my self to give the turbo yxz a break so I can put a few hours on the banshee
  14. Ya she fired right on up. Only let it run for about 10 seconds and shut it off, hadn't put coolant in the radiator or oil in the tranny yet. It ran so I finished assembling everything and stuck it on the trailer
  15. Pingel install, took a bit to figure this shit out Loaded and ready to go to my brothers for heat cycles and be packed for the 25 hr drive Normally I'd be stoked about upgrades to a machine like this; double the hp, pro mod tranny, lock up clutch, LED light bar. All kinds of awesome shit. But all I care about is my new turbo YXZ1000R and fucking up sone sand in California
  16. Got the motor back together and things assembled. Fired up and made sure it ran, basically got it assembled and stuck it on my brothers trailer so he can go heat cycle it and pack into the trailer for Glamis next week. Box of Sleeper06 Goodies
  17. i heard a pop but it wasnt really a loud carnage pop, it sounded like cases clapping together and i didnt stop to think anything was wrong. It didnt take any effort to pop the bearing so it didnt occur to me i fucked up. Shit happens, not the end of the world. its all good man i totally get it. I wouldnt warranty shit if i were you lol. Theres way too many variables with something like this in another persons hands. I've assembled probably a dozen 2 stroke motors but never a twin cylinder motor like this before so i dont feel bad that i fucked up a little. Not a big deal, Precision Powersports is swapping the bearing out for me now and its a lesson learned at a reasonable price. Im decent at putting shit together so ya im pissed i missed something simple like this but thats life wiating for PPS to get back to me with the crank, anxious to get the motor together so we can pack it this weekend for Glamis next week
  18. just dropped it off at PPS to have them push a new bearing on there. hoping they can knock it out today and i can grab it tonight or tomorrow. Time crunch, we leave for Glamis on the 8th and shit needs to be packed in the enclosed this weekend.
  19. Well here's the fucking issue. That asshole alignment pin was off by 1/2 inch and busted the bearing
  20. well fuck. guess im taking it all back apart tonight to see what happened
  21. lol i was man, this was the only way i could get a video and spin the motor at the same time. When i was spininig it with the rods it literally almost wouldnt move in reverse just to give you an idea about the amount of resistance it had. Ill give you a call when i get a minute today thats good to know. if you're referring to those little dowel pin things on the bearings then ya i thought i had them lines up fine. Theres slots on the forward part of the case between where the cases meet that i put the pins in. I dont see how those would make the engine not spin a certain direction though.
  22. what do you mean? I used the kick starter gear and kick starter to confirm which was the motor turns, and it is free moving in that direction
  23. It did this before I stuck the basket on. It's totally isolated to the crank I can say that much. I'm baffled. The Titos convinced me to just say run it but sober me says it's should be torn back apart lol
  24. Putting together a motor with some nice parts here, after sticking the crank in it and sandwiching the cases together it only wants to spin the normal motor rotation direction. Spin the crank backward and it feels like you're fighting against some resistance, you have to force it etc. watch the video, wtf did I mess up? Obviously I need to spilt the cases again but what the fuck would make the crank spin free one direction and have resistance the other? https://vimeo.com/201803851
