350BANSHEE350 Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 t-5, filter, soon timing plate, and heavy ass 22 inch 6ply gators, do i need all 6 stiff springs that i put in or can i use just 3 soft 3 stiff or all soft if possible? Quote
dragbanshee Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 I went all heavy, but you could go half and half, mine does'nt feel that bad. Quote
shee4speed Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 with boltons the stock springs should be fine. When you get ported then you'll want to step up the clutch springs. Quote
LS1Inferno Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 i run mine half n half.. +1 Quote
jharader Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Run heavy duty and use an ezpull perch, clutch will last longer and feel as if u have the light duties. light duties just dont seem to last, keep in mind its a spring, it sits there halfway compressed it WILL wear out quick, even quicker with a light duty resulting in premature slippage. my .02 Quote
dajogejr Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Pipes and timing? Stock springs, you'll be fine. Quote
350BANSHEE350 Posted September 9, 2008 Author Report Posted September 9, 2008 okay guys thanks, i do have an easy pull and new cable on the bike, but with the big tires (i mean real heavy) i usually need to use my clutch alot, ill go with the easy pull ones till my clutch goes, then i will use 50/50 Quote
dajogejr Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Change your gearing and air pressure if you have to clutch it that much.... Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 I installed six stiff springs, and did not notice much of a difference in pull. Just throw 'em in and start working that forearm for your next bigger engine... :woot: Quote
jharader Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 must be the lubetube thats got lefty broke in  Quote
dajogejr Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 I've got Jeff from FAST's EZ Pull perch, the lever has a ball bearing pivot, not just a sleeve. With that lever, bearing and a new cable, I have 6 HD springs in mine and it still pulls like a 125cc new dirt bike.... Quote
jharader Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 a good ez pull makes a night and day difference no doubt, we have used them on everything from the old school cr 250 to kx500's,zilla's to shee's, wont roll without one  Quote
350BANSHEE350 Posted September 9, 2008 Author Report Posted September 9, 2008 im a strong kid, all my buddies cant stay on my shee for more then 10, the thumb throttle and clutch is too stiff, and after 7 hours for me it gets hard. so should i go with stock springs or 50/50 im not sure, ill probably buy the clutch lever from fast and i have stock gearing too. i do have a 13 tooth front but then i can't tighten the chain enough to specs, so maybe ill buy a rear sprocket with a few more teeth on it. i ride fast in the trials, especially with only having stock susp. etc, but i know for a fact that i wll be able to ride much harder and safer with easier thumb and clutch usage. thanks for input guys Quote
