  1. PT mids hands down the best midrange pipes w/ the most low end power for dual exhaust....
  2. I have an '89 frame in excellent condition. All new powder coated silver about 4 years ago and been stored since..Mint condition. Paid $225 for the powdercoat. Will sell frame for $500..Not interested in trades...
  3. I believe there was a set of 30mm D slides on ebay 2 days ago. Sold for like $200 I think or they might not of even sold....
  4. You guys have the right idea...Keep going up until your brown....You'll notice some more pull on top as well and the motor will be safer....This is why jetting is so hard and makes it such an art....By the time you get done, you'll learn so much about jetting and your shee....The results are priceless...
  5. I spent about 20 hours rejetting each carb separately on the dyno and in the field...I seen huge gains w/ different reed cages more than the carbs...the carbs were more noticable on the bottom than the top...The larger carbs work the best w/ a stroker....Maybe your shee is jetted better w/ the kiehins or closer to perfect jetting than the stockers.....The stock carbs are a really excellent carb...People just think bigger is better, but thats not always the case....W/o porting I lost hp w/ larger carbs......Heres last years dynos for my mods in my signature....
  6. and CarbParts.com. I've had good luck with both Magic and Carbparts. Red, who is cheaper?? Never ordered through carbparts....
  7. I'd say your screws have to go in further. File the sides of the carbs so the screws can go in further....
  8. I"m running a stroker and don't notice any more than 2hp. In fact, I have the dyno charts to prove it....If you can't start it w/ stock carbs, then you have to rejet..Starting a shee has nothing to do w/ carb size....As for the water problems, caps, and nuts on the bowls....that is a good reason to swap..
  9. magicracing.com
  10. I have to agree w/ nightrider...I put the v-force on my stroker...It was night and day......The largest difference was throttel response...1/8 throttle felt like full throttle...Not sure if I liked that, but it made huge gains across the whole curve..I'll be trying some pyramids on the dyno shortly next week....Note: the stock cages are ported w/ Boysen dual petals...
  11. I think I read the post wrong..You can start it, but it won't idle.....I'd look at what others have suggested...You have to shave the side of the carbs so the idle screws will go in further...Common problem... As for the 105 psi....that would be good if your 2000'-3000' feet above sea leve...If your at sea level then you might want to consider a top end in the near future.....
  12. They give minimal gains, I'd do that last if your maxed out and have nothing else better to spend money on....
  13. We can still ride in Sanford or other places until this blows over....I'm still testing and tuning...I'll have all my other mods hopefully tomorrow, so Sunday I'll be dialing in.....The owner isn't the one thats pushing this..The sheriff went to the owner and said do something or else....The phone was ringing off the hook...The owner has his hands tied..I'm sure if this cools down and everyone keeps everyone else on a level keel, then we'll be able to ride again....I have other places to park, but I think we should all watch one another and speak up. If not, we're doomed....
  14. I honestly think the v-force gave me more of that power than the intake, but it could have been both....I dynoed w/ the 26mm boots and stock carbs, then w/ 34mm boots and larger carbs and only gained 2hp on top...So I think the reeds is what made the difference. I'll be running pyramids this weekend....BTW, they have those upp intakes on ebay right now. Starting bid is a $1, no reserve, they are for 34mm carbs....Just thought I'd let you know....
  15. Update: Dayton sand and gravel pit is closed..... They posted over 50 no parking signs down RT.35, there will be wardens in the pit this weekend...The sheriff got over 27 phone calls from the neighbors complaining of people doing cookies in the road, wheelies, and leaving cans on the sides of the road....There was 67 out of state vehicles last weekend parked on the side of the road...Dayton is blaming all the out of staters for this.....IF anyone plans on coming up, you know what to expect...
  16. He said the hiems are stronger, but how would you know if you had a little play in the ball joints???If I couldn't see the play in my hiems, the I don't think I'd know it.....
  17. the v-forces added quite abit also w/ the intake
  18. Not bad, I'm working on getting that dip out at 5500rpms....Still working on it..I don't think my compression is high enough to work w/ my porting, so thats the next step along w/ pyramid reed cages..
  19. lol.....The pro design has a plate in them that can be removed for the v-force and pyramids...I believe you can also buy the prodesign w/o the plate...either way it will work...I had the prodesign w/ v-force reeds on my shee 2 weeks ago for testing..
