  1. How would i test the stator and i replaced it about 6 months ago.
  2. I am having the same problem. My banshee is an 04. It was running just fine and then started running like crap, and back fireing. After that it would only spark intermediately. Replaced ignition coil and that made no change. Any ideas....
  3. I was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the proper config for my carbs. I have a 2004 banshee with toomey t6s. I have a 2 into 1 k&n air filter. I have a boost bottle installed, and nothing done to the engine. I live just about sea level and temperature is around 85 degrees. Any ideas of what i should have everything at would be appreciated.
  4. I was just wondering if anyone know the clearance for the magneto and magneto cdi for a 2004 banshee.
  5. I pulled my timeing cover off, and the whole inside of timeing area is covered in corosion from salt, probably from riding on the beach in pismo, all the contacts are rusted over and coroded. I will clean all the up and see if that makes it run right.
  6. I took the valve reeds out and they look fine. Then i took the head off and the top of both pistons are black and look burned. THere is black crusty stuff on them and i tried wipping them off with a rag and it didn't come off, anyone know what could cause this?
  7. My elevation is about 1000. I removed the whole tors system and dissconnected the box. I screwed in the idle screws and it does move the slides up and down. Any more ideas?
  8. Did a compression check and both cylinders were 105psi, is that the normal for a 2004 banshee??
  9. Took more off for the idle screw and still didn't help. Also the only way i can get my quad to start is to bump start it, but after i get it started once from bump starting it will kick start. But it still will not idle, as soon as you let go of the throttle it dies. Lemme know if theres anything i can do.
  10. The slides are in the right way, but i will try and trim more off for the idle screws. Thanks will let u know if it helps.
  11. I have 2004 banshee and i recently put on toomey t6s. I also removed the t.o.r.s system and installed idle screws. I can get my banshee to start, but it will not idle. As soon as i let go of the throttle, the quad dies. I tried changing jet sizes and still wont work. I have tried adjusting the idle screws but made no difference. The air screws are set 1.5 from all the way in. Anyone have any suggestions?
