So your saying that guys should just settle w/ whatever they find??? Whats the point? So your saying that we sholdn't have a "goal" or a "perfect woman" to look for?

Go to at least a 15/41 and maybe try a 16/41 or 16/42 to see if it'll pull it..let it lug. Your motor will shine more and more as you ride it...You have to gear it up and let the torque pull you through at the lower rpms...the banshee is not know for the low end, so it'll take a little getting used to, but you'll love them a lot more for your type of riding...I had a 280 main, needle 5th clip, 25 pilot w/ the cover on. I cut the back of the cover and had to go to a 300 mains at 40 degrees out at sea level....your plugs looks slightly toward the lean side on the top picture, but look rich on the lower pic. I'd go w/ the 280's. This picture was after a 6th gear wot run for 5-10 seconds right??

Your comment on GUYS involves me along w/ YOUR hypocritic views amongst our views, so before you comment, think about what you say. You claim how we all think wrong, but YOU don't have the answer, so who the fuck are you to start bullshit on this board w/ no answers to back it up.....I"m still waiting on your answer to what the perfect woman is????? After all, this IS what the topic is about...POPCORN PLEASE, now you'll see my other side.

I have a air compressor, that'll work pretty well that I can bring. I'll have some tools including the larger socket for sprockets, I can bring a 24" pipe wrench in case someone needs to tighten or loosen the rear axle nuts. I also have 2 of them.....I have a flywheel puller, homemade exhaust spring puller, plenty of jets and needles, I can bring a grinder??? I have almost anything anyone needs just shout it out and I'll bring it...I also have a generator, it puts out some good power, but is loud....I also have a couple of water bags to heat up in the sun w/ shower heads on them for people that aren't in the RV's .... -
I have never met HOlYMAN or BROOKE, but this is pathetic. Brook claims to handle herself, but just calls him an idiot w/ no back up statements..and he's not understanding what she is saying..??? He responded to all your statements and backed up all his......Women want rights and to be equal, then treat em like a MAN. Fuck this bullshit...If you get in the ring, then prepare to battle...Brook only post about stupid shit on this forum anyways. Everyone thinks she's all that because she talks about sex and how she's been w/ other woman, who fuckin cares, I can go to a local strip club and see that first hand if I wanted to. She talks about the "perfect guy" or "perfect girl", but instead of describing one or enlightening us, she just slams us...So Ms. Perfect, what makes you so fuckin special of being the "perfect woman"????? This is supposed to be for "Married Guys", you know as well as I do that Maine doesn't support gay marriage, so I guess YOUR OUT!!!!!!! NOW PASS THE FUCKIN POPCORN!!!!

Bills are very comparable to the fatties. Pc 's are more of a top end pipes.
-
Funny you said that, I just pulled my pyramid reeds out and put in some v-force, now my pilots are way too lean.....so I'm guessing that v-forces need larger pilots?????? But I'm also running a stroker.....like sredish said, you want the best jetting....trial and error, try it.
-
stock pipes??
-
If you bought it at sea level and moved it to a higher elevation, then it'll run extremely rich. Get some stock needles and go from there.
-
Enough said......
-
Get the +2 arms and shocks and shorten the swingarm -2". The wider arms won't be a problem in the trails since the rear end is wider than the front anyways, I have +2 arms and my front end is 461/2" wide, my rear is the same. 25% of my riding is 2-4th gear trails. You'll really notice a big difference on the mx tracks w/ them also. The -2 swinger is one of the best mods. It'll give you awesome traction that the banshee is lacking and help control the front end way better. the banshee is front heavy and hard to wheelie over holes and whoops, the -2 will substantially help this out and make riding wheelies just as fun as a 400ex..
-
So it ran fine before the truck ride? Also did this truck ride consist of purchasing the quad and driving to a different area? Different elevation? Temperature?
-
Go w/ the -2 for the traction and play w/ the sprockets. Gearing down doesn't give you low end, it just brings the rpms up higher and sooner. Low end is power in the lower rpms. If you have to gear down to get power, then you have NO low end...
-
Did it start acting up before you pulled the carbs or after?
-
If you ride any amount of mud, then I wouldn't. I did it to one of my older shees and regretted it. I dont' mind getting dirty or muddy, but I hate mud all over my goggles or in the eyes..when you turn the wheel, it just slings it right in your face.
-
I was running 300 mains, 25 pilots, then went to 28pwk's and had 162 mains, and 42 pilots, needles were in the same clip as stock....hope that helps..

Thats the price you pay when you buy any atv, but once you go through the whole shee and fix everything, then she'll treat you right, but you must fix EVERYTHING.. -
I agree, the old school fmf's are very nice all around pipes. Unless the finish is done, and you want new ones. I'd go for Pt mids for mostly trail riding, way better low end w/ the same top end as the fmf golds.....but a price to pay for a little more low end...
-
If your shifting like a mofo then your not pulling on your bottom end. Your just keeping your rpms high and spinning like hell...What you want is to gear it up and that'll kill some of the tire spin and help hook up. Gear it accordingly to the amount of tire spin that you want. Let the torque pull the gears, not let the gears pull you. Torque will get you home, not spinning tires. I'd go to a 15/41 or 16/41 gear for your setup, you have the power, if your jetted right, you should have some decent low end (power at lower rpms) and should be able to pull them gears w/ flying colors...Don't listen to your friends or the bullshit about mx shees..I've ran in a few local tracks just for kicks and came in 1st, 2nd, and 4th place twice...this is against 25-30 other bikes and mostly 250R's....Funny thing is that banshees seem to place 3 out of the first 4 places..... the track I placed 4th (twice) was very tight (1-3 gear) and not much room to pass. The second track was faster (2-6 gear) and the shees just dominate hard.

Parking brake switch??? try disconnecting that? you shouldn't have to rejet. I'd pull the exhaust pipes off and check for shop rags. I had my builder leave a shop rag in my exhaust, put it together and only ran on one cylinder, took me 2 hours to figure that one out. PUlled the exhaust and it was between my header and silencer....
-
Disconnect the little black box above the left exhaust w/ a 3-wire plug, disconnect the parking brake switch on the handlebars, there is a connection by the gas tank for that...you'll be mint....
