  1. Ran 165psi for 5 years w/ no problems, doesn't mean you won't though..
  2. Air filter dry and not frozen??
  3. You had me doing some serious thinking there for awhile...... Glad you found it...
  4. Most likely JKJK will let me try his out in Glamis next month, so I'll know then, but right now, Fixitrods stroker is the ONE.......Flat out hauls ass right from the bottom and just keeps turning....pisses me off..... , but thats ok, gives me something to strive for...
  5. Feb 13-21st, Family is coming out...Rod, load up the shee, grab the old lady, get in the truck and DRIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Have you done a leakdown test yet???? If you have an air leak especially in the lower end, then that would cause your problem....
  7. Duncanracing.com has a diagram on how to make one. Cost you about $30 and you'll have it forever..you'll be able to find leaks in the intakes as well as the crankcase seals..
  8. I'd disconnect the tors...little black box above the left exhaust and disconnect the parking brake switch. if still no spark, then check the stator. Benbb knows the specs and I'm sure someone else will chime in w/ those.
  9. Have you tried a leakdown test?? You might have enough of a leak to suck air and not enough fuel.....
  10. I'm running a -2.5" swingarm w/ a stroker..... It wheelies when I tell it to...accept when I put the paddles on..
  11. your motor should only rev when the motor is cold, other than that it WILL stall the motor since your mixture will be too rich when your pipe gets hot...If your motor stalls then the choke is working properly. Have you tried shaking the shee before starting? I switched oils on mine and it starts hard and runs shitty for a couple of minutes unless I shake it around, even then its still not perfect. The oil and gas can separate, I see it, so I can believe it. If not that, then I'd try a larger pilot, you might have to lower the needles one clip, but try it first.
  12. make sure the choke carb has the right bowl on it..If you swap the bowls, then it wont work...the choke carb bowl has a brass tube w/ a tiny jet on the bottom of the bowl. Also make sure the carb slide aren't in backwards, (cutaway should face the air box), then check to make sure your compression is up there. Low compression will create starting problems..Also make sure the choke tube is in place.
  13. Everything your asking is dead on. Get the +4, -2 swingarm, move the foot pegs back 2" along w/ the brake lever (shorten it), then shorten the shifter 2". Call Dave at NOSS, he is awesome, he'll give you the domes YOU need...custom made me a set for my stroker and it changed my curve dramatically along w/ Fixitrods bike...He da man for that..when it comes to porting, I'd go to a proven company. Some claim this and that, but if you dont' get what you want, then its YOUR money that is wasted. I'd go to LRD or Duncan. They don't win races because they happen to have all the best riders on their bikes.... Of all the companies that I've spoken w/, these 2 are very knowledgable and will blow your mind away..Good luck!!
  14. NOt really, just your 1/4-3/4 throttle range, but you have to get all 3 ranges to work perfectly to get great throttle response..try adjusting the air screws and get your highest idle and best throttle response, also make sure your carbs are in sync.
  15. I've ran w/ strokers from Patriot. Was equivilant to mine, (does alright) whats your impression on the mx port??
  16. I think you should go to Glamis in Feb from the 14-21st. There will be about 75-100 of us out there. I want to take a crack at those carbs!!!!
  17. Try swapping plug wires....
  18. Try a larger pilot??
  19. Any T-shirts this year???? The Roostfest ones come out really nice. Bringing the youngins this year, so make sure you get x-small....
  20. sounds like the pilots are fine. Richen the needles, bring the clip towards the pointy end or taper. I know my shee likes a really rich taper. I'm on my 6th sets of needles and it still wants more fuel at 1/8-1/4 throttle..
  21. I've ran one of my older shees w/o exhaust, didn't hurt anything. Exhaust are designed to improve the back pressure to help create a push and pull which in turn creates a turbo effect. W/o it, your losing that "turbo", so it'll run worse. I don't think it could hurt it, but then again, why take a chance???
  22. Boring it out won't change your jetting. Did you check your plugs after a wide open throttle run in 6th gear? If your at sea level, then you will be lean. You should be around 270 at sea level. especially w/ winter temps...YOu also might want to try a richer pilot. I know when I had my PC pipes, that my shee wouldn't start for shit w/ stock pilots. Anyways, good luck
  23. Jet blue?? What site did you get those prices at? or number? Thanks
  24. My bottom end was great w/ stock pilots, but your porting could be totally different. Try raising the needles one clip, that might take out quite a bit of low end bog. Especially w/ winter temps...If that helps then go up another clip. Find your sweet spot. How does it start when cold? choke? how does it start when warm?
  25. I thought the T5's had more bottom end than the CPI's, but I didn't jet in the CPI's so that can be a factor. The T5's had decent low end for a high rev though. I just go some Pt highs for my stroker and took the mids off. Gained some high revs, but not a lot, but in turn I didn't lose hardly any bottom end. So to answer you question, I'd say Pt high revs..
