  1. The numbers are low cause he didn't have alky domes in it. He was at 16:1 UCCR. He would do much better at 18:1 UCCR. Looks like he has these guys taking care of it. He is in Vegas so he's not close by. Its a hassle for him to drive it back and forth. Not sure why it let go with no timing and only 16:1 UCCR.
  2. Sorry to hear about the bike. Let me know if I can help you out in any way.
  3. No, what spurdy is saying is his shifts fine and has a lockout but its no override. I did port his motor but the trans work was already done. Dont worry your in good hands.
  4. From the compression alone it should be a little more power from top to bottom. With stock port timing I don't think you will see any benefit from the pipes. You would see a good jump in power if you had a timing plate with at least +4 timing. Give me a ring if you want to see some power.
  5. Your pipes are just not sealed up. Get new exhaust seals and use high temp RTV. This will seal them up tight. The oil coming out is normal when they leak. It makes a big mess after every ride.
  6. Yes you can mill the head. Dont forget to check the cylinder decks.
  7. Not saying don't change it like that is law. Just really no need to. If the bike does not stumble or sputter on itself why waste the cash? A main jet change or two and a tweak of the air screw and I bet it runs without a hiccup. I have more than enough time on street and dirt application carbs to be confident in this answer. I meant air screws out on the last answer. 2 to 3 should do it.
  8. No need to change out the stock needle on the stock carbs. Just start simple and jet down the mains. We run stock needles and pilots out there all the time. Air screws have to be turned in sometimes.
  9. Come down on the main jets. My guess would be 280 or 290 for that elavation. Just come down one size at a time and check your plugs as you go.
  10. Take it apart and have the head and jugs checked for a flat mating surface. Any dings or warping will make the head leak.
  11. O-rings are for aftermarket head and dome setups. You have a stock head right?
  12. I think I remember this bike. It was pushing plugs out so you went to bigger domes then found out it was the ignition? With some 20cc domes on C12 this would be a beast. Sad to see you giving it up.
  13. The head gasket lets go on the inside so after the cylinder ignites all the exhaust pressure passes around the head gasket and into the water jacket. The exhaust has to go somewhere so out the overflow it goes. It bleeds the pressure off enough so it never makes it to the outside of the cylinders to leak down your jugs. I see this a lot.
  14. If you cant find it leaking anywhere the motor has to be eating it up. Sure your not spiting it out of you overflow tube. I mostly see compromised head gaskets. They suck it into the motor and out the exhaust or spit it out the overflow. At idle it will sometimes not come out but rev it up and it will steam out or drip out the overflow tube or the exhaust pipes. If you have a surface irregularity somewhere on the head or jugs a new gasket will not fix it.
  15. I have some 22 and 23's laying around we used as test domes. $55 if you want a set.
  16. Hey now that truth thing really hurts. Get a bench for my Mill so I can do some work here.
  17. Frame looks weak and the motor looks slow. Go pound sand! :yelrotflmao:
  18. Sounds like a voice of experience. It only took you 100 times of getting burned to figure it out.
  19. Its ok as long as the clutch is adjusted right. This is from the oil in the trans making the clutch plates stick to one another. Once the bikes warm the oil is more fluid and the plates don't stick to each other. Normal.
  20. Hope you get well F.A.S.T.
  21. Not bad for the first outing. Just a $300 port job from a garage hack and a 10 day turn around time. That's just crazy. Who does that? Cant wait to see that thing with some more time under its belt. You should see them run when I set the whole motor up. :woot: Ok....I will stop blowing my own horn. FAST McCoys Performance Port Magic K&T and ...... I could go on and on. These guys are good. I love banging heads at the track with them. Its all fun and games for me. Much respect.
  22. Good to hear that you got it together and its running for you. I'm excited to see what you can do with it this year. I'm just a phone call away for any questions or concerns. Have fun with it and have a safe race season.
  23. Glad you are happy with the work. Ride safe and enjoy.
  24. NO MORE PORT FOR YOU! Ha, Ha.......sad to see it go.
  25. This always happens when the bike sits and the gear oil gets cold. It makes the clutch plates stick even when the throw out plate is out. Always start and move the bike in neutral. I would never move the bike in gear with the clutch lever pulled in. Just to much drag from the sticky oil in the clutch.
