  1. I know most people will be going on memorial weekend. I'm heading over to Olds this Saturday to goof off. I think we have a few people going. Come join us for some friendly runs up the hill and lots of water. Kevin
  2. Give me the measurement from the top of the deck down to the top of the exhaust roof in mm. Do the same for the transfers. Are you on a stock stroke crank? PM me the answer cause I don
  3. Thanks, I went and downloaded it cause I hit those pop up sites all day. I had a bazillion detects!!!
  4. True....not for the faint of heart. I get about 2 years out of mine.
  5. No they wont be the same size. Lots of shops do piston mods. The bigger the window the shorter the life of the piston. I do it to all my motors. Here is a Wiseco Blaster piston and a Wiseco blaster piston with the mod. Stock banshee piston in the back ground. http://community.webshots.com/photo/240071...255549995yQCAlN Here is a Wiseco Banshee piston and a Wiseco Banshee piston with the mod. The Wiseco piston comes bigger than the stock piston as you can tell from the previous picture. http://community.webshots.com/photo/291290...291290837gTWVFx
  6. Your going top notch. I've seen his work, good stuff!
  7. Sounds like it would work well to me. Plenty of transfer cut for the exhaust. Should keep the low end grunt just fine. I have never cut the boost over the transfers. I would think this might help with getting the fresh charge pushed forward as the exhaust was being sucked out. How do you like it? I found out I tend to enjoy less transfer and boost per exhaust lift. I also enjoy having them cut all at the same height. That's something to digest for the future. Boost over transfers. You cut your own jugs?
  8. I see. That puts you about 195-196 on ex and 123-124 on trn duration with a stock crank? Stock or stroke crank?
  9. Mine are exact, taken from a port map and measured with a digital caliper. Yours measurements seem to be from a ported jug?
  10. Ex 30mm from roof to top of jug Trn 43mm from roof to top of jug intk 21.5 mm wide, 24.5mm tall, bridge 10mm width
  11. Careful now its just not about grinding bigger holes.
  12. I agree with Sick Boy. Clean the pipes up, and put new o-rings in them. Crank seals have nothing to do with the gear box. Keep an eye on your gear oil just to be safe.
  13. You should easily get 165 PSI on 94 octane. Head volume, squish and PSI will dictate your octane requirement.
  14. Nothing beats a port job!
  15. My gas mileage went way down after my port job. I have it supported by bigger carbs and a stroked crank also. Just get it cleaned up or get a desert tank. Its not really about the gas mileage its about beating your friends right?
  16. I got screwed once for cylinders. I'll never do cash, check or money order again! Pay Pal insured only! Keeps both parties safe.
  17. Not friends that I would want!
  18. A little wet 400 to 600 grit sand paper will smooth it out. Just take the bur off, don
  19. You really have a fat set up! You are running some big jets and thin needles. Have you had the bike on a dyno? Nice web page. I didn't see any pictures on your port job. Was it just a clean up job are did you really do some work on it?
  20. Just wanted to let you know why the PJ's weren't idling. Make sure you unplug your TORS black box that your stock carbs use. I know rookie mistake. My bike now idles best with 52 pilots. About 40 clicks out on the adjuster. My first ride showed it lean in the upper midrange and wide open. I was prepared to go smaller on jets but not larger. Who would of thought I would need more gas with these new bigger carbs. Alba said jetting was set up for their ported banshee motors. Most fudge on the large side. So back out next weekend with fatter jets to see what she can do! On a side note my Blaster port job rips!
  21. I ride mostly at sea level. Glamis. How about you?
  22. Wow! Thats huge and I dont say that to just anybody! I've never run pilots that big. That works for you? Stock needles in the PJs I bought at Alba are CEG. I couldnt get this thing to idle at all. I bought some smaller pilots today (45s and 42s). If these dont work I'll go up. Thanks guys!
  23. The over all opinion from multiple boards are the pilots are to big. I was recommenced to go with 45 or 42 pilots. Twisting the idle choke lever wouldn
  24. Just put on my new 34mm PJs. Bike fires right up and runs good but will not idle. These carbs have no idle screw that lifts the slider. Its a twist on the choke lever. I think it works by cutting off the air as you twist it?? Just like the air screw?? Any one have any ideas how to make these carbs idle. 55 pilot, main 152, needle CEG middle clip. Should of got the PWK carbs!
