  1. I have already put a programmable MSD in mine. Just the start to messing this thing all up. I have a roll cage and rear seats coming. Should have waited for you to build one.
  2. You should be real close to us. We are a melow group and dont do any real fast riding......unless we have to It will just be me and Fran the man with our kids.
  3. Freeze your tail off, just get me my dear bologna! I will hold the hill down for you since you couldn
  4. Last trip before Christmas!
  5. Yes, run the race gas and turn your timing back up or it will be a dog. It will take +6 with the race gas. VP c12 is good stuff. Run it 50/50. If the needle jet tube is coming out you have problems. Toss those carbs and get some real ones.
  6. You say gas but then say Alky. It will start with gas and idle but it will not go anywhere if the carbs are set up for Alky. The floats and needle and seat tend to get stuck a lot with alky. You have to keep the carbs clean and flush them right away when finished with alky.
  7. 25 pilot is good. In the cold the air screws might have to be turned in a bit.
  8. Nice talking with you. Now get that thing going.
  9. Its not that good and you havent been on one of my Cubs yet. Thanks
  10. :yelrotflmao:
  11. That would be a difficult challenge but I would be up for it
  12. That should get the ex timing way down. Should be a good mid motor once the tranfers are taken back up.
  13. :yelrotflmao:
  14. That might work. Will the rings come out at TDC with that much taken off the bottom?
  15. Get the 421 cub and you wont need to do anything to the cases. You can make it run harder than your friends.
  16. Still just above $2 here in San Diego.
  17. Trees, what trees? I had a kids bike that I never registered at all. Been taking it for 10 years. Use it as the camp bike to run to the store and drags and stuff.
  18. If you are trying for more of a broad power curve you can deck the bottom. This is what it will do. Lower all port heights. This will move the power band lower but kind of give the same curve. After decking I like to bring the transfers back up and leave the exhaust down low. This makes for a broader power curve with less peak. I think any kind of crank changing is too drastic. You will leave the rings exposed in the exhaust port at BDC. I would think that would be excessive heat. Plus the port durations would get crazy, no
  19. The way I started getting lots of business was at the track. Win on you motors. Sponsor someone that races. If you can put someone in first place you will get the business coming in. Every track you can get a win at people at that track will come to you and they are all on forums. Word spreads like wild fire on the net. Best of Luck Kevin
  20. I'm not missing this. Save me a spot to camp in. Gecko road?
  21. MI guy, Hmmmmm...... dont know abiout that. Do they like tofu?
  22. Jeff is the man. I dont know about the Herr Jugs guy. What kind of name is that? Sounds like a porn site
  23. Shearer in frames and a mid to top end port job with a timing plate. This will make more power than any other combo for that amount of money and includes shipping.
  24. Watkins, are you doing this just at warm up. Only one carb gets choked. The left side or driver side. When you choke it you are shutting some of the air flow down to richen the circuit. This may be causing the smoke you see. It also will make the left pipe warm up faster. As the right struggles to fire with no choke. Not combusting on every revolution. The pipe takes longer to warm up. If you kick it in gear and ride it around it should come up to temperature. Then both pipes should feel the same and the smoking issue might always vary a little. If you sit at idle for long periods of time even at temperature the bikes have a tendency to load up, foul out. This will lead to smoke from it loading up. Most people run the jets on the fat side and this is what the bike does.
