  1. I have no idea how they hold up, but they look nice if nothing else. sparklies broke (aka......jaggoff)
  2. I wouldn't say goofy, but they definately look different. I happen to like the way they look on my quad. PTR's are strange looking for sure. Although I would sacrifice looks for performance even if I did think they looked goofy. broke (aka ......jaggoff)
  3. It's obviously some kind of scam. I can't figure it out, but this seller is still going to have to pay final value fees on this auction. WTF Ebay
  4. Ebay link to quad broke (aka....jaggoff)
  5. 72 HP out of motor that lasts for years is a great number to me. Building a pipey hand grenade that makes 100+ hp that only lasts 10 minutes isn't really that impressive to me. And after all that it really comes down to what the HP and torques curves look like. I like to rate engines in the actual area under the graph rather than the highest point of it. I beleive that the 72 HP motor is a TT motor, not a drag port. I didn't mean to jump down anyones throat, but some get too wrapped up in the numbers alone. broke (aka jaggoff....)
  6. looks like you could use some education of your own. I was thinking the same damn thing.
  7. Hell, my wedding was outdoors in a flower garden under an arbor. When the minister handed me the ring to put on my wifes hand, I was sweating so bad I dropped the damn thing in the dirt. I will never live that down. broke
  8. It would probably help to post an Ebay link.
  9. The pipes are great. I just got my second set this morning. I would put them in the class of CPI's. Although I will agree with everyone else and say they do have more bottom end. broke
  10. Stan, I think it was Super Moto or Super Motard, something along those lines. It just didn't look right to me, but I watched it every time it was on. The big bore KTMs were ripping almost everthing up. Those motors would make an intereting swap into a quad. broke
  11. Can you send a pic to [email protected] Do you take Paypal?
  12. Since there seems to be a discussion here from people who have never done it, I will start by saying that it is worth it. I have been riding mine now for about 18 months. It is a great swap for anyone that can't run wide open all the time everywhere they go. I had actually forgotten just how shitty the Banshee motor is until I bought a stocker the other day. While you can't use RZ cases with Banshee jugs, you can use Banshee cases with RZ jugs. The only downfall I have found with using a complete RZ motor is the gear ratios make it just seem slower. I have riiden a complete swap and mine which is RZ jugs on a Banshee bottom end. To do what I did is pretty simple, it's the wiring that sucks. The RZ wiring harness get's hacked down to about 1/3 of the original wires. I have also found that some people can't set the powervalves up either. The valves are set to move a set distance, but you can set the start and stop incorrectly. That is almost always the culprit of one that just doesn't run the way it should. When mine was ported the builder actually drilled a hole in my cylinders and powervalves so all I had to do was stick a toothpick through there and adjust the cables to hold them at that point. I like the motor so much I bought another top end to turn into a stroker. I do believe it was a great swap, it gives the Bansheethe motor it should have had from the Factory. The only part that sucks about putting the complete motor in is the gear ratios, but that turd can be shined with changing front are rear cogs. Good luck, if you have any questions, just PM me. broke
  13. I've got a harness off a 99, I would have to check the plugs to see if it's the same, although if your changing the CDI it's not going to matter much. $50 shipped.
  14. In need of these parts. If you have them and would like to trade, I have almost a complete Banshee minus the motor that I could trade parts from. Or just let me know what you want for them.
  15. "An untidy, dirty woman." broke (aka......jaggoff)
  16. Yeah, they are definately on the expensive side. I wonder if they build them to fit other cylinders too. I have heard that the 800 Rotax isn't the best motor anyway. I have no doubt it will be fast as hell, and it's the "and up" part that is really interesting. Just how big can they go? It will never be in my budget, but it doesn't hurt to dream. What is the advantage to using an actual transmission over the sled's clutches? It seems like alot of work and money two combine the two. I was just curious of the difference. I hope this isn't some secret like the porting specs turned out to be. broke (aka......jaggoff)
  17. I'm almost afraid to say..................Sandtoys.
  18. Those give me bad ideas. I have a sled sitting here with an 800 Rotax twin in it that is just waiting for winter. Maybe I could turn the jugs into a dual role set-up. The wife is already looking over my shoulder saying "NO". broke
  19. Curly from the Three Stooges laugh.
  20. Throw the stockers back on, sell the Toomeys and hope for $4000. If the bike is that nice and you find the right buyerm you might be in business.
  21. You will get more for it in parts. broke
  22. Honestly, get another Clymers. broke
  23. I am interested and in IL. Can send you send pics and details to [email protected]
  24. I have the Front Master Cylinder, Foot Pegs, After Market Clutch Perch. broke
  25. I hope someday my life is boring enough that I can spend time reading too deep into someone's avatar to the point that a flag becomes anything other than just a flag. It has nothing to do with hate towards any race or creed unless you want it to. Then at that point it has to do with "who" is showing it and for what reason, rather than what it actually is. Sorry, but this stuff just starts to drive me nuts. broke
