1. I in no way want to argue with anyone about Trinity. All I am saying is you can get the same motor if not maybe better from a builder other than Trinity. You can defend Trinity all you want, I'm glad you got a good motor from them, I really am. You don't really think there is such a list, do you? I'm not really going to go into that too much, but Trinity MUST know they do not have a good reputation for customer service, and because of the rather large checks they write Dirt Wheels for advertising, they don't much care because there will be a whole line of uninformed buyers that can't wait to throw a bunch of money there way to build a motor. My question to you would be how many people that have bought a motor from them would buy a second motor from them? You might be surprised with the answer, but what do I know? While I will completely agree with you here, there seems to be two different groups when it comes to that motor. Loco and some others had no luck getting theirs to run, but other like Blueduece, Proquad, Jinx and others love theirs. That may just come down to not ordering the right motor for the riding style. While I can't comment on Trinity, I can say that the man that ported my cylinders is a very busy man, I had to make an appointment several months in advance to get him to do the work for me. He kept me updated every step of the way, even answering most of my emails in the middle of the night. If you think a builder being able to set up jetting for their motors is rare, most good builders should be able to get your jetting within a workable ballpark. I don't want anybody to take any of this personally, this is my opinion and my opinion alone. I hope 01bansheeke listens to what "everyone" here has to say and makes his own decision. You have every right to feel and say everything you said in these posts, but don't jump down my throat for having a different view on a builder as you.
2. no, everyone THINKS that... 288784 I agree, the stock carbs actually work very well up until the mods start getting a little more serious. The carbs will work fine and you will be one step ahead when you decide to step up to something a little faster. You may lose a marginal amout of throttle response with the 30's but it won't be as noticable as it was when Banchetta tried the 34's. The difference between stock and 30 is not as big of a jump as 30 to 34.
3. That is true, but let a reputable builder make whatever profit Trinity would make. There are quite a few people that build good motors and have great customer service, Trinity seems to be OK with not making the list. Patriot gets my vote, great customer service and great motor. I have not dealt with any of the others so maybe soemone else can comment.
4. I've seen it before, but it's always cool to watch again. That thing has unusable power. There is another video if a turbine powered one floating around. It comes out of the whole soft but then pulls hard. At the end of the video they show it explode right behind the drivers head but never show, or say what happened to him.

6. No problem...I would post them, but I can't post that much shizzle of that content, from here @ work. Work places don't seem to appreciate that stuff... Sorry to tease you guys... 288053 Aren't you home from work yet?
7. ...that was wrong, funny, but wrong....
8. Are you asking "how much to mix in fuel?" or how much to put in trans?
9. It took me to Ebay, but no auctions.
10. yeah, he needs to lay off the ganja. 287283 or include some.
11. did you buy your pipes directly from Shearer? 285936 Ebay, won a new set for $450 and $50 to ship em' 287035 $50!!! I hate when assholes do that.
12. There's another plus, RZ's are either 200 or 250 watt stock. I completely understand, once the snow started flying here, the Banshees have been pushed to the back of the garage and the sled pulled to the front.
13. I hope you haven't lost interest in the motor after these posts. The horror stories that have been written about the wiring are true, but really not that bad if you're patient.
14. I'll throw a vote in for Patriot as well. One of the problems with having one of the busier builders doing work for you is communication. If the demand for their work is high and they are looking to make money, they have to devote more time to building motors and less time to answering phone calls and replying to emails. While this does not mean you should have to wait a month for a reply or no reply at all, you may not get the reply as quickly as you might like. Dan an I emailed each other at least a dozen times during my motor and build. Most of the times his replies came in the middle of the night well after I ahd gone to bed. What this really meant to me that after he was done working he would finally get around to responding to emails when he probably should have been sleeping. I did have to make an appointment to send my cylinders in well in advance and his turn around time wasn't quick, but well within the amount of time that I considered reasonable. I have never had any work done by Trinity, and NEVER will. Trinty's customer service is not what it used to be, and you have no idea who is actually porting your motor. One of my friends just got his motor together after 18 months of haggling with Trinity to build a Cheetah. There is a long post on this from me in another thread if you really want to read about it or PM and I can give the details. All I know is that when I email Patriot, Dan answers, when I call the them Dan answers, When I sent them to Patriot, I sent them to Dan, and when the porting was done, Dan did it. See where I'm going with this?
15. Guys like this are always the ones I HOPE never get into law enforcement.
16. Boonman
17. $500 is a little high. I bought my last set on Ebay, stock bore jugs with head and valves for $200, but that was a real good deal, $300-$350 would be about right for a nice set with head. As far as mounting them up. Cylinders do just bolt on to the cases. Flanges will need to be made. We bought the parts from a muffler shop and a friend welded them up for me. Powervalve servo has no real place to mount, so most just get ziptied to the frame. You will need a battery or some kind of battery eliminator, the powervalve controller, powervalve servo, CDI, regulator, wiring harness. Wiring is a pin in the ass, but not horrible. I did mine, Minkia had one running, I don't know if Meat and Ben have theirs running, but they may be able to tell you more. As far as "IF" it's worth it, yes. It's not really how much more HP it gives you, but how broad the HP and Torque curves are. For a XC or trail motor, they realy can't be beat for the price.
18. I'll try to get some more pics of it in the morning. I just needs to get this thing out of my garage, so $2000 and this thing is yours.
19. Now that's funny.
20. Holy crap. Makes me pucker just watching it.
21. Welcome back.
22. Give the banner all the way at the top a try.
23. Yes, it is one of mine. As it sits right now I'll take $2000 firm for it.
