  1. I wish I was going. I have access to FREE FIREWOOD!!! All I can take. I have a pile next to my house, and one at my shop, and its growing everyday.
  2. OH YEAH! I Experienced this first hand when I started my billet aluminum Banshee parts company. I "rough" polished a bunch of parts, then cleaned the buffing residue off with Simple Green. Then I final polished them, cleaned all the residue off again with Simple Green, and then sat them on my bench because I was going to wrap them up in the morning. I come into the shop in the morning, and all of my parts have this brown shit looking oxide on them. I had to rebuff every single part, and since then I only use Simple Green on stuff that I don't need to be polished. Its an excellent cleaner, its just a too alkaline for aluminum.
  3. HAHAHA Bigairee, between your Ponch avatar, and that picture of a "woman" im sitting here laughing my ass off!!!!! Oh man that is one awful pic.
  4. is it the same color red thats in your avatar? OMFG! I noticed there are about 5 others that have similar avatars? WHERE'D YA GET THEM? anyway, back to the plastic...I don't have any. Just wanted to give you some props on the avatar.
  5. I get it. Kind of like this. PRO:You have a box. Simple. Right below the post that is either a rating from 1-10 whatever. Then next to the persons name maybe the average of the score. It may/may not be helpful, I have no idea. If we do it and it sux balls, then scrap it. No harm done. CON:But what about those that will vote negative just because they have a problem with a member? We don't want to get into a pissing match with each other over "you gave me a bad rating" etc etc. What about those that mostly reply, with a me too, or otherwise verifying what was posted. There is no harm in that. It merely reinforces the point that was made. How would you rate that?
  6. What about shit thats been powdered? I can blast it off though.
  7. I don't know if this means anything...I've seen pipes nearly black at the header. Some seem to be yellow, and I have one buddy, that got his pipes chromed after he ran them for 3 years, and they are perfect. I don't know why. We ride like crazy, and his pipes look show room. He'll barely clean his air filter, so I seriously doubt he's wiped his pipes down with anything.
  8. YOU SICK BASTARD!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  9. Deuce, you got one? LOL I didn't know Evil had one. I have one too!!! I saw my dad shoot my .44 mag single handed one day. I tell you what, Agent Smith from The Matrix, and Demi Moore must be strong MF'rs. (I know its all Hollyweird trickery ) Oh and Lefty, maybe instead of a shooting turd, maybe you could get a turd with an M-80 stuffed in it.
  10. Er, so you checked everything 300 times??? Hope it works out during your staging. And if it doesn't please post the video.
  11. Two big thumbs up Lee!!! Rod Roddy would have called you to "COME ON DOWN!"
  12. Thank you Wheatie for putting that up again. I lost my bookmarks when I switched to XP. I hope to get my banshee running again soon, and I KNOW I'm gonna need to brush up on my carb theory 101.
  13. I like it. Gives it a more updated look. Of course all the "buttons" are hard to find at first, but that will pass soon. GREAT JORB LEE!!!
  14. *still shaking* Uhm.hehe, I got on AIM a few times, uh, hehe....*wipes sweat from face* Watched some TV...hehe...PRAYED TO GOD THAT LEE GOT THE SITE UP AND GOING AGAIN SOON!!!! I did that last one alot by the way.
  15. I may not know what the hell I'm talking about, but just by looking at my cases, and reading the clymer manual, why in the hell would anyone charge $225 to split the cases? To take my head off takes 3 minutes. How long does it take to pull the jugs off? Then take the pistons off. Then there are like 10 bolts holding the cases together. Can't you just undo these, and gently pull the top half off of the lower? At my current shop rate, $225 would buy just over 3.5 hours of work. If you couldn't have that done in 30-45 minutes I think something would be wrong.... Am I right or what?
  16. That is the trigger for your ignition. As the magnets on the flywheel pass by the inductor coil, it causes a small electrical pulse. Your ignition sees this as a signal to fire the sparkplugs. By moving it clock wise, you advance timing, counter clockwise you retard timing. I think the gap is supposed to be around .019
  17. Its caused by the wearing of an o-ring between the swiveled parts of your kickstarter. You can take that oring to Lowes Hardware and get a new one. Its just loose is all.
  18. Yes the torque specs are in the Clymers. They are listed at the end of each chapter.
  19. Rust won't affect a magnetic field. One thing I plan on doing, and I wish I would have told you, is I may coat my fly wheel with some of that rust converter from Rustoleum to stop the rust on my flywheel. I'm afraid of it eating away enough material to shatter while I'm riding. I might just be paranoid though.
  20. It looks like a key. To get imagestation pics to post you have to remove the .orig.jpg from the url.
  21. LOL yeah whack it gently. When I had mine removed at an engine shop, he had to use an impact on the puller. He told me he hadn't seen one that stubborn in a while. Putting it back on is as simple as placing the woodruff key in the slot on the crank, putting the flywheel on, and torquing the nut down. You might have to hold the brake, or put it in 6th gear or something.
  22. I think Holyman was looking for a PS2.
  23. I'll hopefully have my swingarms and carriers for sale before December. Don't know pricing yet, but I'm working on it.
  24. LOL! I've been there a time or two.
