  1. I am running a F.A.S.T clutch kit fibers and plates a hinson clutch basket and using pro honda 85w trans oil. When the motor is cold and I put it in gear it moves forward and kills the motor while the clutch lever is pulled in. Also when the engine is cold and the motor off I can put it in 1st gear and pull in the clutch and push it forward it turns the engine over. It does get better when the engine is hot. I have the clutch ajusted correctly. I went ahead and pulled the clutch cover off and the only thing I see is when I pull the clutch in the plates and fibers stay stuck together from the oil. My friends four strokes never have this problem. Should I change to a different trans oil? Anybody else ever have this problem?
  2. Will your modded shift star work well with a tudor shift pro. I installed a shift pro a while back and it worked great with my stock star.
  3. I had the same problem on my 03. Sparkplug caps went bad. Spent $6.00 on some ngk caps and she ran perfect no more missing/cutting out at high rpm's. :thumbsup:
  4. Does anyone know how many inches stock blaster shocks will lower the front of a stock banshee?
  5. Mine use to cut out at higher rpms and i thought it was a jetting problem, turned out my sparkplug caps were bad. Paid $6.00 for 2 new ngk caps and she ran perfect , no more popping and backfiring at mid to high rpm. You will have to test them with a ohm meter. :beer:

I have been using cheng shin dune hoppers 22x11R8 paddles and I am needing new paddles for sand drag racing and was highly thinking about buying the 21x12R8 sand haulers off ebay for 99.99+ 22.89shipping. He has great feed back and says they are the same as skat trak haulers. Ya'll think I am making a mistake by buying these? I will be saving 30.00 over the skat traks from RMATV. Will I notice a big difference in traction over the dune hoppers? P.S. RMATV is out of stock on the skat trak haulers and I will be needing them in the next 3 weeks.
  9. Mine did the same thing. Thought it was jetting problem, but rejetting never fixed problem. Turned out my plug caps were bad. Get an ohm meter and test your caps, should ohm out at 5000. Mine ohm in the millons. Your plug cap caps have resitors in them and they are a wear item, many people don't know that. Replaced mine with NGK caps from my local dealer for 2.95 each. Took her out and ran perfect.

  12. I put in 320 mains and the plugs did not get much darker and still cuts out some. I am going to go up to 360 mains and see what happens. If it starts to bog down on me I will back off a size or too.
  13. I sprayed carb cleaner all around the carbs and intake while it was running and no change in engine rpm. That's the only way I know to check for leaks.
  14. Installed v3's in my shee and now it misses/cuts out at WOT. When I had stock reeds it ran fine. I had 310 mains installed. The plugs looked to me maybe a little on the light side. I was thinking of going up to 320 mains? Any opinions? When adding V3 reeds will it lean out the carbs some? P.S. Mods below
  15. Just installed my v3's today and let me tell you they make a hell of a difference over stock. Very quick throttle response and pulls the front end up quicker now. Only got to ride it for 20 minutes around the house and did not have anywhere too really open her up in the topend yet, can't wait. :beer:

  17. I am installing my v3's and need to know if I use all 4 gaskets supplied with kit? When i pulled off the stockers they only have 1 gasket on each reed cage between the cage and cylinder, the rubber o-ring on the carb boot seals to the cage. Do I use a gasket between the carb boot and the cage along with a gasket between the cage and cylinder the v3's? Thanks

  19. Fixing to install new v-force v3's. When holding them up to a light is it normal to see little pin holes in the carbon pedals? I noticed some light shining through on mine. These are brand new.
  20. Castor 927 will seperate at lower temps also. I just switched from castor927 to klotz supertechniplate and like it so far.
  21. I had Vince at mrcrankshaft.com true/weld my stock crank for $65.00 and that included shipping back to me also. I live in texas and his shop is in Kentucky. He can also rebuild them, new bearings, etc. Great guy to work with, just give him a call.
  22. Think I will go with the v3's since more people have used them and they are proven to work well. Will vforce reeds last longer than the stock reeds that come in the banshee from factory? :beer: By the way I went to vito's web site and they have some vito billet reed cages for $139.00 and claim 2.5hp over stock. How much more power do v3's make over stock?
  23. Can't decide which reeds to go with. The SRP ram air reeds from magic racing or the vforce3 reeds. The srp reeds are $149.00 shipped to my door and I can get vforce3's shipped for $201.00 off of ebay. They claim the srp's make more power than the vforce. They seem to be of good quality and use boyesen dual stage reed petals. Has anyone tried the srp reeds from magic racing? If there is not much difference in power between the two I would rather get the srp's and have an extra $50 bucks to spend on something else for the shee.
  24. Did yamaha put chrome handlebars on a 2004+ limited banshee? I have an 03 and am looking for chrome handlebars. I like the raptor style handlebars that came on my 03, but they are black. Thought I read somewhere that yamaha used chrome handlebars on the banshee. I have been looking on ebay, but no luck.
  25. Can the stock carbs be used with f.a.s.t. woods port?
