After further research I’m thinking 🤔 of trying the Motul 800 2T 100% synthetic oil and mixing it at 40:1

Just rebuilt my motor after running it 5 years or so. I’ve been using Klotz super techniplate mixed at 36:1 avgas 100LL. I had a lot of carbon buildup in my pipes and pistons were black on the skirts and couple rings stuck. Really gummy residue on pistons. I have done a lot of searching and found out that castor will cause this. So I’m now Looking for a cleaner burning 2 stroke oil. Will switching to Klotz R50 full synthetic cut down on this problem.

Wanna order me some uni pod filters for my stock carbs. I have some new outwears covers that are 4 1/4” long. Uni has 1 3/4”x4” and 1 3/4”x5” pod filters. Is that the length of the entire filter or the just foam filter area of the filter? Just don’t want to order the wrong length filter .

Is it better to install the cylinder base gaskets dry or coat them with some high heat copper gasket spray.

Think I'll give dat a try when I get my new motor put back together

Ok I just read in my clymer manual and they say to use Gasgacinch on the plugs before installing.

When installing new rubber plugs on the bottom of the stock cylinders in the water jackets should I use any type of sealent on them or put them in dry? Thought bout using the same sealent on them as I use to seal the cases together. Also do any of u guys use the high heat copper gasket spray on the base gaskets between the cases and cylinders?

Talked to Jeff at FAST racing and gunna have him swap out the hot rods bearing for the maxload bearings on each end. Since I'm not running straight cut gears I m not using the TZ's

Is there much difference in reliability running max load bearing just run the bearings that come on the hot rods crank?

I Looked them up and way out of my price range. After searching the forum here I m thinking of probably just going with the Hot Rods crank.

Looking to get a 4mil crank. Choices I'm looking at is Hotrods, weisco, or hjr. Heard there all made overseas. Anyone better quality than the other? Thanks

I saw on mattoons description on eBay all you had to do was drill and re tap for bigger bolts. Can anyone confirm that the cushions will work with the Hinson basket. Fixing to order soon and wanna make sure there cushions will work?

Having to replace the cushions, backing plate, and screws on my Hinson basket. Is there any other brand beside Hinson for these parts. Just the Hinson cushions alone are $56 and another $30 for backing plate and screws. Ouch!!!

All the oil is leaking out of mine. I may call up sf racing bout rebuilding it.

My stock rear shock crapped out on my 2003 crapped out at little Sahara in Oklahoma this past weekend. How much $ am I looking at for a rebuild? Where are there some good places to have it rebuilt? Or should I just look at buying a good used one off of eBay?

Which one has better traction for drag racing on a dirt track out of the Pulse and Ohtsu? Or would there not be any noticeable difference? My ohtsu hooked up great when they were new but as they wore down to around 1/2 thread seems like I don't get near the traction anymore and the knobbies are getting really rounded

Anyone seen or have tried the pit bull fang sport atv tires. Just wondering how good the tracation is on these. They look like they would bite pretty hard. Do you have any pics of the stator? What year model bike did these come off of?

I looked at race techs web site and it says not available on the banshee stators. Do ya'll know if he stills makes them? I'll have to call or email racetech.
