  1. thats what i think. doesnt take much for you to jump teeth. if its poppin real fast like its gotta be jumping teeth. check your rear sprocket and see if its all worn. if so get a new one. its worth a try before having to split the cases all open.
  2. the rear hubs will fit both. fronts prolly will too. umm thats all i can think of. how about hand grips?
  3. yea i think id hold out for the 450. here pretty quick the 2005's will be out and the 2004 used ones will be dropping their price. i wouldnt bother with any fothe 400's. they are all pretty slow. just get ahold of a stock 450 and go from there.
  4. you are going to have your work cut out for you no matter what. where are you racing at? dirt, street, sand?? this will make a difference. you should get him off the line on the street, but sand or dirt i would think he could take you. i wouldnt put up any money on this one. just get some mods and hope he cant ride that well.
  5. use a propane torch and lightly go over the white marks. dont get too close. start far away and work with it until you get good at it. it will take most of the white out. DO NOT use an actylene torch. it will melt your plastic.
  6. yo yo you know locogato got the flow, ill styling that impresses all the hoes. when you see me rollin the cr500 banshee, dont be mad, just be sad you cant touch me, i click 1st, 2nd, 3rd i see you fall behind cuz your ride's a turd. get you a real quad that you can mod, not some decked out craptor that belongs in a junk yard, its not that hard when i flow, just typin these rhymes that you hear all the time. so next time you talk all that shit about your 4 stroke, try not to choke. just hear me when i scream f*ck you while representin the bansheeHQ.
  7. hell yea. thats the only way i can afford my shit. live at home with parents and be a cheap mofro like me. only spend money on my material things.
  8. nothing wrong with buying a 450. i have one. but i still have my 2 banshees. i bet youll miss the banshee and end up buying another sometime. oh yea first thing, pull the airbox lid and spark arrestor then rejet. you will notice a huuuuge difference.
  9. my local auto upholstry shop made mine all black for 40 bucks. if you are willing to spend 60 bucks check an uphosltry shop and they can prolly do something custom for you.
  10. very true. i have raced numerous time against ported banshees and many times have won. a lot depends on terrain and shit but most of the time the 450 will win it. they are fast, they just dont have that feel of 2 stroke power. i like my 450 but id let it go before my banshee or cr500 banshee.
  11. no do not take that spring off. what you can do is tap on the spindle and loosen the ball joint in the spindle. or you can put the castle nut back on as far as possible and whack it a few times. this should also loosen it up. try that then post back.
  12. diesel here is like 1.80. thats fuckin absurd. id like to kick the person in charge of fuel prices in the sack.
  13. i think you should get it jetted right and keep it. youll never get out of it what you put in it. it takes a little time and shit but youll get it down.
  14. dude youre only 17??? i thought you were like 26. well shit i guess im not any good at guessing fellow hq members names. happy birthday anyway!!
  15. when you build the pipe use the stock one for rough cutting then buy an aftermarket pipe and start pieceing it together. thats what i had to do on my cr500 banshee. turns out that a pro circuit pipe almost fit, i just added a inch strip after cutting and turning the pipe 90 degrees. take your time and you will never even know it didnt come that way. mine looks stock.
  16. parents own a concrete foundation company. ive been doing that since i was 13(21 now). ive been mowing lots and big yards for builders for the last 3 years. we do all kinds of flatwork on the side. i own 2 duplexes and im a full time student in college working on my business management degree. i also do addons, decks and whatever else when it comes along.
  17. with that kinda attitude around here you wont get any answers for any questions. be respectful of the people here and youll get your answers.
  18. they are not nickel sealed. anyone telling you they are is a fuckin idiot. your local yamaha shop can bore them. and no you cant bore nicle seal cylinders. most guys that have them in dirtbikes just re ring and put a new piston in. if the cylinder walls are fucked up you have to have them re plated. but dont worry becuase your banshee cylinders are absolutely not nickel sealed.
  19. oil in what? the only oil i run is when i mix my gas and oil. other than that i didnt know a banshee needed any other oil. can comeone please explain?? jk
  20. i think that would be a pretty expensive trip to ship a banshee over there and back. must be nice you dont have all the legal bullshit we have. theres always someone here whining about people riding and what not.
  21. yes you do. its not hard at all. just watch how youtook it off and where everything went. then put it back together the same way. do you have a clymers manual? if not go get one! while you have that side cover off does your clutch need replaced? itd be a good time to do it.
  22. so what exactly are you mad about? him saying hes a better rider or him saying your new girl is ugly?
  23. fast trekkers if you can find any. otherwise i have heard those kenda gnarlys and klaws work well for a variety of things. i have never run them tho. trekkers all the way!!
