i think you just need more gas. if you are low on gas when you have it on "on" it might not be gettin enough fuel to stay running. it may be just borderline. id say put gas in her.

i know rick. i have personally rode with him and hung out with him. he drove 2 hours one way just to come watch me at my hillclimb last month. he is not the type to knowingly purchase stolen goods. i think he got into some shit with a worthless kid that worked for him and i think he made a few bad decisions, everyone does at some point. and as for him getting his banshee running right, it is the first quad hes ever really owned and really did anything to aside from his kodiak. he called me about it not running right and i was in the process of helping him get it dialed in.

well maybe sales are down. maybe they want a huge sellout on banshees when the time comes. who knows. all im saying is that i cant hardly believe that the banshee outperformed the 450 in the sandor whereever. they are not going to have any troubleselling the 450. id like to see their sales numbers. they have sold so many of them its not even funny. i just think that if the banshee life really is coming to an end soon, yamaha is doing something to make it a big deal. i dont know 100% for sure how it all goes down. i just find it hard to believe that even in sand a stock 450 that can keep up with full on $20,000 race quads, will be beaten by a stock banshee. and YES i know they are in sand, i just still think its wierd.

ok i got ya now. i thought u meant actual mx because you said motocross bike. for trails and hills i think the 500s are great. however i would go with a cr500. the cylinder is no nickel plated like on the kx500s making it much easier to rebuild. wide open, trails and sand id say a 500 would be fine. they are a lot of power. they will easily bring the front up in 5th gear. i would ride one before you get one to see if you think its too much. i really think tho a 250 would be a lot more friendly to u.

That's what they're saying...know one should doubt that a worked banshee will eat any other specimens found in the sand. no doubt a built banshee will kill most everything in sand. i dont doubt that one bit. but dirtwheels is talking about stock for stock. im pretty sure everyone knows that a 450 should walk away from a stock banshee. theres nothing more i like to see that a banshee killing some 4 stroker in the sand. but the reality of it is that stock for stock the 450 will have it.

the only way to jet a craptor is to find a really steep hill. get the craptor up to top speed and then the rider must bail off right before he hits the edge of the hill. the craptor will JET off the side of the hill to its death. just leave it there and go buy a banshee.

i highly doubt you are going to be able to handle the 500 on a mx track. the 500s are not for mx. the power comes on too strong and is too much to handle. when is the last time you saw a race where someone was racing a 500 in an mx race? id say go with one of the thumpers like the yz250f or yz450f(yfz450 engine) and theres always the honda crf450. if it were me i think id just go with an aluminum framed cr250. they handle good and the power is much more manageable than something like the kx500. do you think you can even kick a 500 over??

that sure isnt what i hear about them all the time. in almost every video i see stock 450s are walking on ported banshees. something tells me that saying the banshee wins is some kind of sales ploy for yamaha. yamaha has some deep pockets that dirtwheels has their hands in. i dont trust any shootout any magazine does. i go out and see for myself. the videos ive seen dont lie. over and over again ive seen it exactly the opposite of the way they describe it.

I'd go for the TIG welding method. me too. i had one side of my cr500 welded up. works great and looks a lot better than trying to get jb weld to smooth out and set up.

is it hard starting? with that low of compression i would think it would be hard to get it going. i would just do a total topend rebuild. have it bored and go with wiseco pistons, rings, etc..might as well go ahead and have it done because its more than likely not running to its potential. if you have a local shop just have them bore it for you, then you can put it all back together. if you have some money you may wanna go ahead and get a noss head with some smaller domes to raise compression a little more. it would be nice to do it now as youll have the head off. but whatever you do id have it rebuilt.

i run the same mix in my weedeaters and blower as i do in my banshee. i like weedeating and smelling the klotz. i think it makes me faster

sounds to me like you are gonna have to have a machine shop drill it out with some sort of diamond tipped drill bit. if theres no room to get in theres no way you can weld to it.

parts are easy to find and lifts are a dime a dozen. tires are the same. gas mileage will suck. im sure they are reliable. as for comfort, you are wanting to lift an suv 6 inches. there goes your ride. as for seats and shit, to me a seat is a seat. i can rarely tell the difference.

why dont we just let people be. it doesnt affect me if gay people get married. as a matter of fact i couldnt fuckin care any less.

it is very normal to build confidence while riding. one day you may think man thats way too scary or hard, then the next you think, well im sure i can do that. its all in how you percieve it. if you think itsreally hard, chances are you arent gonna do it. if you think, well i can prolly hit that then youll more than likely try it. if theres ever any doubt about something its best not to try it. doubt causes you to get scared. being scared causes hesitation. hesitation is what causes a lot of people to visit the ER. and as for the 450 not bein all that. they really are. i love both of my banshees and would never give them up, but my 450 is fast and it doesnt have shit done to it. they handle better and are much more rider friendly than a banshee.

how much are 450 shocks and how much for ohlins? i dont need triple rate anything. i just need something that will keep my banshee looking good and make it handle a little better. i just wanna make sure that i get something with rezzies cuz they look alot better than regular shocks.
