i like my 450 a lot. its just something different to ride. my buddy has the honda 450 and he cant keep up for shit. everytime we drag i whoop his ass. its a nice bike and all it just doesnt compare to the yfz.

i believe boonman will lighten your flywheel for you. talk to him about it.

its gonna really depend on your dome size and other mods. if you slap it in there with 20-22 cc domes i doubt you are gonna feel much. if you run 19's with some porting and what not, then you will probably feel a gain.

when i got this new banshee thats the first thing i did. i cut everything out that wasnt neccessary. now i can easily change my sprocket i think yamaha could do a little better job in their side case removal procedures. i think they could have made it a little easier to get off.

uhhh. i never use the clutch when im dragging and i have never had 1 problem with this on any of my bikes. i dont think you wanna jam it down a gear without a clutch. when im in the trails or something like that i always use it, shifting up or down. straight line dragging tho i dont use it.

build another garage!! thats what we did. a 20 x30 just for bikes and quads. i love it out there.

elka revalve kit. i think its about 3 to 400 bucks. well worth it tho from what i hear. i also think you have to have it sent off or have a shop do it.

my powdercoater just puts bolts in all the holes. he has this huge ass box of bolts and shit. on occasion you might have to retap one. but it would be a pain if you had to do them all.

just use a straight screw driver to pry the top and bottom seals out. then there gold peice will fall out of the bottom and the bearing will come out from the top. depending the age of your bike it may be a good idea to replace those seals. as for the a-arms, i wouldnt attempt it just yet. there is a guy here working on trying a set to see if its possible to do. he has heard that if you put them in a certain way, the rubber surround will melt, but then reform when cooled. who knows as of right now. is your powdercoater gonna have the frame sandblasted or are you? it has to be sandblasted. also i reccommend checking the frame over for cracks and such. if there are any have them fixed before you pc. if there are any unneccessary mounts cut them off and grind them smooth.

now that i have seen them i have to say that i like them. i will definetely have a set on order now. not!!

they are badass. pull the lid, spark arrestor and rejet and its a totally different bike. i like mine a lot. it has no problem keeping up and a lot of times beating piped and mildly ported banshees.

you should be able to pick one up at a local hardware store like lowes, westlakes or home depot.

thanks led, its almost exactly the same. its just a little bit more metallic looking. a guy came out the other day with a new 04 in that color, and u can hardly tell them apart.

just replace the one. go to the yamaha dealership. they arent too much money. 2 or 3 bucks i think. beat out the old one with a hammer and take it in when you go. you dont want blaster hubs. they are for an 8 inch rim. i doubt they would even fit on the axle.
