you should never let it get so hot that you can put your thumb into it. when i do mine i just barely graze the plastic with the flame. as soon as i take the flame away, its already back to normal color and can be touched. how long did you hold it there? did it start to bubble at all when you did it? if you hold it too long itll bubble and on blue, itll turn to a darker color.

id say start her on a 4 stroke. its a lot more manageable power and if you have an even somewhat built banshee, its more than likely gonna be too much for her. my girl just started riding my 450 here a while back, shes gotten pretty good, but nowhere good enough to be hoppin on my banshee. they are a night and day difference. she has never driven a manual vehicle but understands the concepts. if your girl understands how that works she may be alright. bad thing about a banshee, is when she kills it shes gotta kick start it. its nice when learning to have the push button.

ive got a 450 and a banshee. i bought the 450 after that banshee, and would NEVER trade off a banshee for a 450. i am a 2 stroke rider for sure, so ill always have them. i think instead of you asking us whether you should get one or not, i think you should just go get one. its obvious you really want one. get one, then when you get bored buy another banshee. if at all possible keep the banshee and buy a 450. you are kinda asking a biased crowd here.

you might be able to get away with a 15 tooth front, but i doubt youll be able to go 16 without adding some links. if you have to add its no big deal. break your chain somewhere, add in the pieces and run 2 masterlinks. thats what im doing on both of my banshees, and ive never had a problem yet.

i just got a big bolt and used it. it fits tight enuf to turn it out. i took a big bolt and welded a nut on the other side of it so i could put a socket wrench on it. works great and didnt cost me shit.
