what other mods do you have? do you plan on getting porting in the future? if so then id invest in something else. the t6's work great on stock engines, but t5's perform beter with porting. plan ahead so that you dont end up spending a lot more money than neccessary.

i agree. run some 27.5 pilots. have you checked your plugs? you needto find out whether you are lean or rich. first thing id do is lower the pilot. see how it runs and check the plugs. then adjust the main and needle accordingly.

u should be able to waste a 400ex out of the hole. ive never been neat out of the hole by a 4 stroke, unlss it was really loose dirt. even then, they didnt beat me by much.

what kind of port work are you getting? what other mods do you have? if you wanna stay with toomeys, i would suggest using some t5's. they work very well with porting, at least on my bike they do. you could try to trade someone or sell your t6's. i have heard the t6's are great for stock engines, but when you add porting they dont do nearly aswell as many other pipes. id really think about everything you might possibly wanna do in the future, that was you can plan ahead when buying parts. you might also wanna think about advancing the timing, increasing compression, lightening the flywheel. these are all relatively cheap mods that will get you pretty good gains.

if he doesnt have the power to pull the 15t then theres no point in using one. all that will do is hurt him. we need to know what the other guys gearing is, what the mods are and so on. otherwise trying to decide what kind of gearing to use is almost impossible.

well it depends. did he go up or down with the front? is he jumpin off the line faster than you or just beating you on top? if hes jumpin off the line really well he prolly geared it down a tooth and its taking you a long time to catch back up. if he geared up hes just pullin past you on top. you needto find out what he geared his at.

DO NOT cut that out. youll end up runing the threads in the frame. you should be able to turn it out. knock it around with a hammer a few times and maybe get some kinda lube for it. whatever you do, dont mess those threads up. oh yea, its left handed threads.

what i have: 1. full set of silver maiers pictured below. 2 months old. excellent shape. (gettin fullbores) 2. full set of blue plastic with cut fronts. no cracks, few stress marks. 3. white front fender. no cracks. 4. stock black bumper off 04 banshee. perfect shape. 5. toomey t-5's. great shape. pipes and stingers have been powdercoated heat temp black. silencers are polished. little rust startin to show through, nothing major. if you are interested pm me and we'll discuss prices. i have pictures of everything else, send email address for the pics. i have paypal as well. the silver maier plastic

try a search. i know there are some posts on this in a couple other forums. try "powerlid" and "k and n". you should be able to find all kinds of stuff on this. we also need to know what type of riding you are gonna do, other mods and all that shit.

if anything most people on HQ run elkas. i run them and i wouldnt trade them for shit. i have them on my silver banshee and it rides like a caddy up front, but the cr500 has stock shocks and it sucks. i dont think theres much comparison between works and elkas. if you have the extra money or can wait and save for them, id seriously skip the works and go straight for the elkas. i ride fast paced trails, hills and wide open fields all the time. they have never failed me yet after 2 hard years of riding.

i used to run the outerwears and id never run them again. dirt wouldstick to them and within a couple hours of riding my banshee was runnin like shit. couldntfigure it out, then just decided to pull the outerwear off. sure enough, it was all nasty and shit. and this was after just a few hours with it. sand may be different, but i wouldnt bother running one again.

besides pipe and filter, there isnt a whole lot. he could always build a 416 or 440 kit out of it, but then you are talking more money. it doesnt matter how much you do to it, its still not gonna be too fast. they wont keep up with a yfz450 anyway.

i hate places like that. ALL the dealerships here are like that. since we are bashing people id like to let everyone know that hellbound racing has the absolute worst customer service ive ever encountered. i called them last wednesday and placed an order for some pro peg nerf bars. they told me 4 to 5 days. im like cool.. so this thursday rolls around and im like wtf, no nerf bars. so i call them at about 5 o clock. the owner knows nothing of my order and says hell call me back in 15 mins. at 645 i end up calling him cuz he never calls. some dip shit answers the phone and doesnt know a fuckin thing, just says the guy had to run home and check order forms. im like wtf, why arent order forms at the shop? so they call me back the next morning at like 12 and say they are gonna check for my card number and that theyd call right back. so at 145 i call them and the dipshit answers again, sayin the owner is out and hell be back in an hour. so at 4 i end up callin them. i get the dipshit once again and he tells me the owner is not back. i tell them to f*ck off and forget about my order, then i hung up. DO NOT buy anything from them.

no times at all, unless im makin it faster. downtime is always because im makin improvements, never because i broke it or it broke itself.

these were the ones pictured above with the heal gaurds? how come they are only 220 from parts direct but fuckin 290 from ac themselves?

im gonna have a set of toomey t5's here in about a week. they have been heat temp powdercoated black. they are holdin up real good. i should have some pics here pretty quick.
