    It's a vent. OEM they came with a hose that connected with a tee to some other vents.

    Put the bike on its side. Pull the nut off. Clean it. Put 1211 on the stud and nut. Put nut back on. Let it set up. Or you can use a copper washer and acorn nut.

    Your frame must be bent. I would always make the front end slightly wider than the rear. That way, if the front fits, so will the rear.
