  1. i had the same thing, asked my dealership to check it and its a proper vin of a 2001 banshee, I think in certain countries banshees have different vin types or something
  2. I’m in the Middle East, temp is around 75F atm. I run 28mm pwks with a 155 main and 48 pilot, needle on the middle clip. I fouled a plug, all the time my plugs look black, and I get oil around my pipe so I feel like I’m rich. I run yamalube 40:1. Cos I was rich, I raised the needle clip and it got much worse, very piggy, so I put it back in the middle and it got better, so I think the needle(N68J) is fine. i decided to drop the pilot jet down because the sweet spot was 5.5 turns out on the air screw, but no matter how much I adjusted the air screw on the 45 and 42 pilots, it would run horrible, like it would turn on for 5 seconds and in those 5 seconds there would be loud backfires from the exhaust and no consistency. When I put the 48s back it would run alright for a bit but then it looses all power and bogs, when I turn the fuel off it runs well when I rev high but doesn’t last long, I am so confused
  3. thanks so much jerz, finally got these plugs out. Look at how rich these things are. I am planning on dropping down the needle clip and the jet size on my 28mm PWKs. whats the best what to get myself roughly perfect on the jet and needle before doing a plug chop? I plan to do a mid range and top range plug chop soon, but i'd like to get pretty close before so i dont have to repeat it. thanks again
  4. thanks for the quick reply, i'll make surre to try this when i get the time.
  5. hey, so on my banshee i put in new spark plugs and i think ive overtightened them. I fouled the plugs so i want to change them. i tried to remove them with a 21mm socket but they're way to tight so i ended up smoothening the edges of the spark plug bolt. any ideas to get it out?
  6. Does it replace the normal voltage regulator and wire in with the same wires as the voltage regulator? Do the lights wire into the same place?
  7. So we don’t use the stock light wires? How does the light switch work then? sorry if it’s a stupid question I don’t want to mess up the electrics doing something dumb
  8. Do you have a tutorial thread for this? I’m not too experienced with electrics, also would I need to run a battery
  9. I got the idea for the lights from michael sabo, he didnt use a dc conversion, is there any way i can do it without dc conversion?
  10. Hey guys, i have LED lights on my banshee. The lights are circular lights with a ring light round the outside then big LEDs in the middle. The outer ring light works, but the big light only shines very dimmly at idle, then when revving the bike even a little bit they turn off. I tested the light with a 12v raptor 700 battery and the lights shine very well. Hope i can find the problem soon.
  11. turns out the slides werent fully down as i had recently cut the springs, fixed now.
  12. Hey guys, I have recently rebuild a banshee engine because of a tranny issue, one of the gears were chipped. Although the tranny was bad, the bike would start up 2nd kick, cold, no choke. now I’ve rebuilt it, but it will only start with choke on after like 50 kicks, and it would rev very high I did a compression test and I’m waiting on the leak down test, compression is 120 and 125 psi, stock motor. spark is great as well, keep in mind that my vent hose is cut at the case and I just have the vent plug, which isn’t fully seated in the case. could it be and air leak or a timing issue with the static and flywheel
  13. Hey guys, I built this banshee engine and I was having problems like the ones mention on the thread that I’ve linked below. Now I’ve ridden the bike and when I go into second under a lot of load, I get a false neutral, same with 6th. I replaced the 3rd gear wheel, my 6th pinion gear had a broken tooth but the dogs looked alright, maybe a bit worn when I was riding, at the start, second gear was fine, however my shifter came loose so I thought I was shifting into neutral instead of second, when I changed my shifter I was getting false neutrals in 2nd ive changed the eccentric screw and the shift shaft spring
