  3. your carbs and pipes are really holding the potential of that motor back. id say snag you some keihin 35mm pwk and try to get a different pipe.. might even have to have something custom made. that motor will make into the 90s.. you just gotta get the setup right on it.

  7. its all gonna depend on rider weight, tires, motor, swingarm, condition of the ground... thats why i said buy them all. that way once you get there you can decide what you need. for the most part i would imagine most duners are going to need a 15 tooth or smaller on the front. 16 is gonna be pretty tall for the sand for most dune bikes.
  8. i would buy everything from 14-16 and 40-44. then he can fine tune it just how he wants. primary drive sprockets are cheap. i have all of the above plus some, just in case i need to fine tune something when i get to the dunes.

  10. grind the fuckin vin off the frame. problem solved. no way to trace that frame if there are no numbers on it.

  12. thought you said you have stock carbs on it now?? if so youre not running a 158 main in them.
  13. ditch that 2 into 1 bullshit. 2 carbs are better than one for a banshee anyway.
  14. more of a drag pipe. not as much top end as the shearers but comparable to cpi.. they will come on sooner on the bottom end than either cpi or shearer. i had a 4mm stock cylinder drag motor at one time and the rockets made 3 more hp and 3 more lbs of torque than the cpi. my builder at the time claimed that cpi were the way to go with his motor. when he saw the dyno runs he was pretty shocked. i ran them on a 4mm cub and my 10mm cup up until i bought my big bore shearers. they are a good pipe and if i were to build a dune or trail motor, they would be my top pick.
  15. umm, if you found a set for 130 you better snag them up. are they chrome or black?? heres my bike when it had rockets on it.

  17. one industries trooper... about 250 bucks. well worth the money. this thing is lighter and feels better than any cheap helmet ive ever had..

  19. the float in the carb is either stuck or not adjusted properly. youre gonna have to pull the right side carb off and check it. so theres nothing coming out of the left exhaust?
  20. well it sounds like youre just taking out in first gear.. if you dont feather the throttle the bike wont go. sounds pretty normal to me.
  21. why dont you try dropping the needle one clip..(take the clip up one notch) and see what happens. also, what are your air jets set at?

  23. i have a modquad one. ive had it forever. works great.
  24. what kinda sputtering between 1/4 and 1/2? does it feel like its getting too much gas? as you throttle up does the sputter come out of it?
  25. go with the 10mm cub. i went from a 4mm cub to 10mm cub and im very happy. its got that extra torque to pull the higher gearing. works great for me. as for the supercubs, i know 2 people with them who are very unimpressed with them. a lot of extra work to go slower than the regular cubs.
