  1. if your mainly doing trail riding, you will want bottom end. if you dont have any youll be flyin through the trails wishin you did. i hear 2 into one pipes work well for this. im sure some other people who run things like this will know.
  2. everyone from here in st joe are planning on going the 9th, 10th and 11th of april. thats the weekend before rattlesnake weekend. lets try and get everyone down there around then. got1banshee, we can meet up somewhere in KC and roll down. ledofthezep, not sure where in kansas you are but ill be runnin through platte city to go down. itll be 435 south im guessing. maybe you could meet us somewhere then and head down???
  3. hey no problem, thats what everyone is here for. just get that damn banshee back together so we can ride!!!
  4. i have a cr500 engine in my banshee frame. its a fuckin beast. there is no excess vibration in mine. it doesnt vibrate anymore than a cr500 engine in the bike frame. many people say they will vibrate so bad the break welds and other stuff but mine has been together now for about 5 months and i ride the piss out of it. i havent broken anything. i dont know why anyone would put a smaller motor in a 400ex frame tho. seems kinda pointless to me.
  5. yes yes all good ideas. it seems that me and banchetta go round and round about this but i would think that if ur runnin tight trails stock gearing may not be the best choice. i would say that def a low end pipe will work great. but think about how many times you are gonna hit 6th gear in the trails. if you are stock geared youll be in 1st and 2nd almost all the time. if you gear down you will have more of a range of gearing. youll have a really low gear, and 2nd and 3rd will be more manageable. if it were me i would give it a try. who knows, maybe banchetta will agree this time...oh yea, all that other shit you need too.
  6. f*cker, f*ckers, f*ckers. wheres all the pussy??!!
  7. haha "Emergency Banshee System". thats great.
  8. insurance would be my best suggestion. but make sure there is enough shit to call it totalled tho. it has to be within 80% of the value. say its worth 5000, it has to come to 4000 in parts and labor. i did that to mine and they let me buy it back for 500 bucks. so i waled away with like 2300 and my 4 wheeler. all i had to do was bend one of the grab bar brackets back up. im still riding it today. a frame shop can straighten it would be your second option. i had a blaster frame done one time, it ran about 300 bucks. but i still dont think itll ever be the same if its bent reeallly bad. i would go with the insurance deal provided its a 2001 or 2002. a 2003 might be worth too much and older than 01 prolly wouldnt be worth claiming.
  9. test for what
  10. yea my girl will get on mine too. i actually already have the pictures for it. it was the december wallpaper.
  11. no they are not very good in the snow. however, if you put some chains on them or possibly some mud tires it will go. 4 strokes i think are way better in the snow. banshees are way too snappy even in stock form for snow. but what i did is welded some 520 chain to some steel wheels and made some crazy ass tires. they hook up like no other.

  13. hey i have one that looks exactly like that one!! i better check my garage and make sure its not gone!
  14. hell yea i want one. i wouldnt mind seein my banshee in there somewhere either. i dont know if you have ever seen them or not but on some calendars they have the main picture up top, and in the corners smaller pictures of other things. i think thatd be a good idea so that we could get a few more than just 12 pictures in there. lemme know what you think about that evil. and also i would check with benbb, he will have some good ideas im sure. but for sure sounds like a good idea to me.
  15. banchetta, gotta give credit where credit is due.
  16. i have ridden track on my banshee and i never got arm pump. i think it has a lot to do with the fact i ride a lot of hard trails. we will get going really fast and do that for about 30 mins without any stopping. i would say that u should go hit up some trails several times a week. that will get your arms in shape.
  17. welcome. sucks about your banshee, but ull have it runnin in no time.
  18. i would send a pm to banchetta and have him help you with it. he is the man when it comes to jetting.
  19. nice raptor. i like how they look with +2 a arms and a set of shocks that let it sit really low. it looks like yours is on its way.
  20. i run 21 inch fast trekkers on the front and 20 inch fast trekkers on the rear. i like them. they are a cheap tire that hooks up really good in just about everything. stay off roads and shit and they wont wear too fast. i would just stay with a 9 inch rim. the ITP T-9 baja's are a good wheel at a lower cost. ive got them on the predator and havent bent them yet, and im pretty hard on them. like benbb said an 18 inch tire would be best for mx, but 20 inch for just about everything else. if you are riding sand you can go with a lighter weight rim (.125 and .160). but if you are riding trails and jumping and shit then i would def recommend .190 with a reinforcement ring (ITP T-9 baja) that way its really hard to bend the rim.
  21. that sucks man. sounds like you got a lot of shit going on. so you need to finish a z400 and build a drag banshee and buy a car???
  22. so you were hitting the mailboxes with your car???!!
  23. welcome and have fun man.
  24. t9 bajas seem to be pretty good rims. i have them all the way around on my predator and have made some pretty hard landings. they are still in perfect shape. i would recommend them as a cheaper alternative to weld in ringed rims.
  25. i gaurantee you do not want a cr500 engine in there. if the thing dies it will bea fuckin bitch gettin it started. trust me, kicking over a cr500 in a banshee frame is no easy task. i had to build a kicker from scratch that is shorter than the stock one. ive gotta get on top of it and put all my weight into it. i would think having a 4 stroke would be a much better way to go. that way you have push button start and can get it goin easier. thats just my opinion tho.
