i think you will regret it. banshee maintenance is very simple. change gear oil and make sure ur premix is up to par. clean air filter. a top end rebuild on a banshee is very cheap. you need to go and compare against a 4 stroke. you have oil, oil filter, air filter. after so much riding most need to have valves adjusted. look into a rebuild for a 4 stroke. i have heard they can cost up to $2000 if you really mess something up. i think you should really reconsider what you are about to do. im sure there are others who have some insight on the 4 stroke rebuild as well.

i would guess either the a arm ball joints or possibly ur tires being out of balance. i dont think anyone really has them balanced and i bet they dont come perfectly balanced from the factory. that could be it. bent rim or you could be really far out on ur alignment of ur front wheels and tires.

i have been overthere and read some of the replys, and i have noticed that if you dont have at least 1000 posts you are gonna get negative responses. i think thats pretty fucked up. the mods over there are also pretty gay. they think they are funny and they really arent. at least MEAT won the award over there in the banshee forum. goes to show you that the HQ has the more intelligent people.

i have done them all. retapped and it just got fucked up again. then i cut the whole deal out and put a piece of 1 inch stock steel tapped out in there. well that stripped too. this last time i got as piece of 3/8 inch all threadand ran through the whole deal. this is the best so far. and who cares if it bends or strips, i can just go get another piece. i think its because you stand on those pegs and it has to mess the threads up. i recommend one piece of all thread all the way through. just bolt one side up, then run thru. then you can just cut off however much you want. just be sure that you can get the nut back on after you cut it. i just left a nut on, then cut, then screwed it off. that way you can clean up the threads.

i always use a pair of needle nose pliers. just put them on the cable and puch it all the way to the carb top. i always use a pair without any cutters on them, wouldnt wanna cut the cable.

yes it can be done and look perfectly fine. i bent mine so bad i couldnt get the tank out and now you cant even tell. all i did was take a bottle jack and prop it against the front seat mount. then jack it out. it really helps if u have another banshee to take measurements from. once you get this done it will be weaker than it was before. i just welded some gussetts on the front side of mine. it doesnt affect any parts of the banshee and also helps keep that where its sposed to be. just remember try not to use any heat. it should bend back very easily without any heat.

same type of shit happened to me. i had placed an order of somewhere around $300. 3 or 4 days go by and i get a call from RMATV sayin that every item but 1 that i ordered was out of stock. im like what the hell. it took them 4 days to figure that out? when had they planned on shipping this stuff? i was pissed ands told them to take their shit and shove it. have not ordered from them since.
