  1. Like I said I hold no opinion of anyone based on there political views, even KGL,I was just trying to have some fun with him.I still have respect for everyone and hold no grudges regardless of who they support.I never once told anyone to vote for Kerry.Just because I'm voting for him does't mean I'm going to try to get everyone else too.I just put my opinion out there. My situation is fine,I have a good job a nice house,a nice boat and hundreds of miles of trails to tear up with the Shee. But you on the other hand a a whiney little pissant who's still wet behind the ears.My facts are what I've compiled while LIVING in the state of Ohio, when you spend some time here and see whats going on,maybe I'll take a minute to listen to what you have to say.Obviously something is going on in this state since both candidates have probably made more stops here than anywhere else(I lost count how many times they've been here). Even if Bush is re-elected,I can only hope that another Democratic Governer gets elected in Iowa and takes away your right to ride at all.You said its already bad for atvers over there,Well I hope it gets worse.I'll be enjoying the 140+miles of national forest and the 100 miles of state forests us Ohioans have to ride on.Cry me a river Pushthethrottle and get used to sitting on your banshee in the garage and making Vroom-Vroom sounds.
  2. All I did was take your exact words KGL,fighting for jobs is no different than fighting for riding areas,in both situations the goverment can do things to help or hurt you.We as people have the power to put the right people in office that we believe will get things accomplished. Obviously we would see it coming, but for the last 20 + years under both democratic and republican goverments our public riding areas have thrived. Why should I give a shit if they want to shut down your riding area?I don't live in BFE.Where I live the trail market is plentiful and has never falthered under any regime. You have to admit KGL,I did a pretty good job with those modified quotes,I still laugh everytime I read them. Then you had to go and call me a retard for the simple reason that I got a good crack on you.I hope you too will be confined to doing laps on your 80'x125' lot.
  3. You got off easy,Clinton took my M-16 and gave 2 years in the slammer to boot! BTW where is KGL,I'm sure he would like to add his .02
  4. They said the same thing about Clinton Oilsmoke and we still had new trails added and repaired during the 8 years he spent in office,so that excuse isn't good enough to change my vote. They already took away my guns and no chance gettin them back.As much as I would like to vote for Bush, theres just nothing in it for me.respect my views,I have no problem respecting yours.
  5. Yes,a Republican governer!I think you hit it right on the head, the president doesn't make choices like that, thats the governers job,I'm glad you made it clear for everyone. We have never had problems with our trail systems regardless of who's in the whitehouse or who's living in the governers mansion. I'm supposed to feel sorry for you and your situation?Well you know what I say good for F*cking you! I hope that they take away all of your public riding,WTF do I care,I live in Ohio, a thousand miles away where the riding is good and the state relishes over our fees for using the public parks.Where they bring trackhoes and bulldozers to repair our banshee beaten trails.Where they have no quams about sound levels as long as spark arrestors are in place. If I were you I'd get used to riding in circles...very small ones. But seriously folks,Politics is a dirty F*cking game,it can turn the best of friends into enemys and give bad impressions on everyone.I hold no opinion of anyone based on there political views, thats part of life and everyone is entitled to have there own opinion.Thats what makes America the greatest country in the World,we are allowed to choose. We should not be shunned for our views.I respect everyone here at Hq regardless if their a Bush or Kerry fan.Arguments arise and turn once friendly Hqers into potential enemys,on what grounds?Political views?Thats bullshit.Grow up people this is a free country and not everyone will hold the same values as yourself. Why let politics get in the way of what we seem to enjoy most.Riding our banshees!! Oh yea,Pushthethrottle,I hope your confined to doing donuts in your f*cking garage.
  6. Lefty, you failed to see that I was refering to our trail systems in OHIO.I could give two shits about anywhere else. Normally I would support any type of trail improvement or trail openings in any state, but I've learned from a few people here to say F*ck'em.All I need to do is look out for myself.
  7. Hers some advice I got from KGL with "riding" substituted. how about this one from KGL Heres a classic
  8. Obviously some states and national parks are subject to more harrasment by the EPA and sierra club. If your riding areas are being threatened,YOU COULD MOVE TO WHERE THE RIDING AREAS ARE NOT TARGETED BY THE SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS.I was told by some HQ members that if there are no jobs available where I live,I should move to where the work is.Or I could sit on m ass and pray for the "Right" form of Goverment to bail you out. When your ship is sinking, you have 2 choices.swim to shore or drown.Since everyone agreed that moving is the logical thing to do then I propose you all do the same. There are places where trail systems are available and free from the hands of tree huggers.Being a avid atv rider,I would say I feel for you,but we don't have issues with our public riding areas and most likely never will. This is no different than the loss of jobs Ohio has experienced, nobody cared because it was all good where they lived and I was told that if I had half a brain, that I would relocate to secure lifetime empoyment. Now I can say I could give a shit less if your confined to riding on you 80'x125' lot.Riding is good in Ohio,so cry to someone who cares. Its a pretty selfish and shitty thing to say,but its not my fight.I live over there a couple thousand miles away where the riding is good. Its not my fight.Thank you KGL for helping me see the light. I live in Ohio and even during the Clinton administration when Yellowstone was being attacked and riding areas at Glamis were disappearing, the goverment was still adding new APV trails to our National forest and major trail rennovations were conducted.Democrats in the whitehouse have NEVER effected our atv trailsystems in Ohio.We currently have one national forest and 5 state operated forests for APV use. Nothing has changed since George W took office, were still seeing all of the same trail rennovations and such,he has done no more,no less.
  9. That why I just can't see 4 more years of Bush,Obviously he has made absolutely no attempts to rectify the problems our country currently faces.Republicans will argue that its not his fault because we were already going down the tubes from the Clinton era. I have no problem with that, but he has had 4 years to help turn this country around or atleast "stabilize" the damage that they so willingly blame Clinton for insuing on America. Why should we believe that he will tackle this on his next term.We shouldn't for the simple fact that he is unable to be re-elected for a third term.Do you really think he is going to make any effort(with the exception of Iraq)in the next 4 years? Two terms and he's out, what does he care to get done in the following years, its not like he has to win our support again.
  10. If its an original chain and there alot of ride time on it,I would just pitch it.You can tell by the sprockets if there also original. I go through chains and sprockets yearly. No sense on running a chain that is suspect to leaving you stranded deep in the woods. If its a newer chain, throw it in a bucket of oil for a couple days. The oil should help revitalze the orings
  11. Your absolutely right and the easiest way you can get those toys is by shitting on the people who work for you. Its no secret that Republicans favor the upperclass, that much you should have learned in college.
  12. I have workd for a number of companies Duece, some have been union, some have been non-union.I have never worked for a company where the Owners/boss gave a shit about the pee-ons they have working for them. The profits were always up yet the employee didn't see anything extra for keeping it that way and our healthcare costs skyrocketed. But at least I still have a job right?so I should be grateful. These were big companies with lots of money. We saw no bonuses or profit sharing when the companies were making alot of money, they were always complaining about proposed cost reductions by customers and the neccessity to meet them in order to maintain business relations. So we accepted that, but the "bigwigs" contiue to live in the lap of luxury buying Mercedes and jet setting to Aruba. I always believed,if you make more, you should pay more.Obviously with 2 yacths, 5 or 6 vacation homes scattered throughout the world and a private jet, their not doing too bad even with the huge amout of tax they pay.Now some big busines ownwer will have to ave up an extra year to buy that home in Geneva. I didn't vote for clinton, but I tolerated him.Just like I could tolerate Bush, but that doesn't mean I'll vote for him.
  13. I would love to argue with you,but unfortunately your opinions mean nothing since you live in IOWA.Look to see where the record low has been in Ohio during the last 4 years and you will see its 12.5 percent.I live here dude,I know whats really going on here.Ask anyone from northern ohio if you really want the truth. Our unemployment rate is on the decline now,but not even close to were it should be. Just like the war in Iraq, the goverments own the media. We don't hear about half of what really goes on there.(just ask an military personell that has recently served there.)All you have to do is read a ohio newspaper, watch a ohio newschannel of speak to local residents. When Cheney was asked in his debate about our 31% unemployment rate in cleveland,He stated he had no idea that poverty has reached that level. When asked what he would do to resolve the 31% poverty rate,he replied, build education, even though those were long term affects. He spoke nothing of bringing lost and better paying jobs to help balance the unemployment and poverty levels currently at hand. Why would they tell us our unemployment is worse than it is?Are all of the local stations and newspapers owned by the democrats? So basically everyone outside the state of ohio is getting the correct news and were being told lies everyday. So like the same situation is going on in Iraq.Maybe the same people are behind it??? The only way to know where truth lay in the media is,is to be a part of its lies. If your vote is with George W,than good luck to you.Theres nothing he could do in the next 4 years that wouldn't suprise me,so I could live with him.But theres no way some of you could live with Kerry. For you its a win/lose situation, for me its more like a win/tie.I hold nothing againt republicans, right wing whatever, but we all have different morals and issues we support.Live with it,its part of the Decomcracy you people have come to love.George W being a firm believeing democracy works.
  14. I too find it interesting,This would be the first year I don't vote republican.I never thouht I would vote democrat, but they cater to the working class stiffs of the world, which is what I am. I agree with Duece, every man for himself,f*ckem all.If I made millions like duece,I would feel the same way and cast my vote for Republican.Unfortunately I have to cast my vote for the candidate who will best suit my needs(or at least try to) at this point in my life.I think alot of people feel the same way. My concerns are not WMD or the poor tortured people of Iraq, like Duece said f*ckem all,its every man for himself. No one knows for sure what George Bush will accomplish in the next 4 years or how John Kerrys plans will unfold, but its easy to believe that George Bush's main objective in the next 4 years is going to be in Iraq, not the domestic or foreign affair issues that the U.S faces.Kerry has his own adgendas and we won't know what they are or how they will work out, only TIME wil tell.No one can honestly say what would happen if Kerrys elected,we could ONLY speculate, but its not hard to figure out what Bush plans on doing.Iraq will engulf 99.9% of his time, leaving .1% for issues that face the people of America. History has a tendency to repeat itself and the way things are looking for George W don't look much different than they did when his father ran for reelection. The majority of the issues at hand in 92' have resurfaced in 04'.All I can say is,if George W was a horse and the morning line odds were 2/1,I wouldn't touch him with Duece's money.
  15. ROTFLMFAO That was a good one.
  16. You can buy a mechanical temp gauge and mounting cup for about 30 bucks(auto parts store). You can make a tee out of brass fittings.I used a solid block of aluminum, drilled and tapped the holes and installed the tees. Its not even a liquid filled gauge, its a cheapo and still works after 3 years.Theres a guy on this site,RED ORE I believe that used to make the tees for you.His were really nice. Its accuracy is plus or minus 7-10 degrees of a thermal infrared gun,but those this are +/- 4 degrees anyways.
  17. everyone seems to like the pwks.from what I have compiled, mikunis are a bit harder to jet than the Kehins.I've heard more grips about jetting mikunis than keihns. It could be the carbs or it could be the installers error.I had a set of TM28's and couldn't get them right. The mid was always too rich.I sold them for a set of 28pwks and had them jetted and running on a saturday. I am also a fan of mikuni, but I'm not a fan of tearing the carb off over and over again.I always had Kehins on my dirtbikes and they performed flawlessly.I suppose with some patience, the mikuni would too.On the other hand I always had good luck with the VM series.
  18. Turbo,The reason I ask is,He's a friend of a friends,He operates his pipe shop in the back building of a car wash he owns in strongsville,Ohio. He used to build engines for Summit Racing equipment in Akron before he got into his own business. He's a certifiable genuis when it come to Turbo Buicks. His 87' GN is running somewhere around high 8's low 9's.His T-type is his daily driver, that thing runs in the high 10's
  19. Heres the tee
  20. I went auto motive style and used a custon tee.
  21. I agree with quick350,Atv engines see far more abuse than any road race engine.Dumping the clutch at 6-7,000 rpm will wreak havoc on a crankshaft. As Quick stated road engines make very linear and gradual acceleration/deceleration changes. When you dump the clutch at 7,000+rpm,the engine is forced to combine with the speed of the drivetrain(0 mph) before it initiates forward movement. That force has to be transferred somewhere. The only place it can give is the clutch or tires. If both of them fail to slip/spin,that force is directly applied to the crank halves. He also pointed out that the bike weighs alot less than a banshee, therefore it lessens the amount of force the engine needs to get the wheels in motion. Remember the Banshee's engine was not originally designed for a quad bike.
  22. Turbochargedone,I see you have a couple of quick GN's,are you running Terry Houston downpipes?
  23. It used to be that wayy too in Ohio up until about 1999.. You can find more info here, but remember any transfer of ownership after 1999 must be done with a title. http://www.bmv.ohio.gov/APV.html
  24. That guy has to provide you with a title or manufactureres certificate of origin.Bill of sales are NO GOOD in Ohio any more. They changed that law a few years ago.No longer can you show a bill of sale to exchange for a title,UNLESS you have the "original" bill of sale and YOUR name is on it. If you can't get a title for it...my advice is don't buy it,unless you never plan on registering it to be used on public trail systems. A few years ago the BMV encouraged anyone who still had an original bill of sale to come in and have a title issued.I don't know what caused them to abandon this type of transfer, but is no longer valid in the state of Ohio. Even if you have the original bill of sale and your name is on it,you must have it convered to a certificate of title if you plan on transferring ownership. I know some bikes and quads built before the 90's only had a bill of sale, but they still came with something,You might have to go through hell traking down previous owners, but if you want it,thats the price you have to pay. If it doesn't have a title and you do decide to buy it..you better hope it never gets impounded for any reason. You will never see it again.
