Out of the brands you mentioned, I can only speak for the razrs. Turf tamers work great on hardpack soil, MX conditions. I have the 6ply razrs and they're awesome, hook up great & have worn better than any other tires I've ever had. They've worn much better than the holeshots on my EX for sure. I've heard nothing but good things about the kenda claws either. I'd say go with a 20" just for the little extra clearance, but that's up to you.

There's nothing better than smooth, wet, packed sand. To bad the sandbox I get to play in is maybe 1/50th of what you guys got.

I'm at 150lbs on each cyl. I've ran 91 oct for years now without any issues. I've ran 91/AV mix before also, noticed no difference in power but shee did get a little warmer than usual.

Yeah, get some head. Either shave yours .030 or go aftermarket if you can afford it. Advancing the timing wouldn't be a bad iear either & you can never go wrong with suspension upgrades. Still have the stock clutch? With those mods it's bound to start shit'n out on you sometime. I didn't think mine was slipping too bad until I installed a barnett dirt digger & then I was like, "Holy shit!" - I couldn't believe how bad the stocker was actually slipping. Felt like a whole new beast. I too run 13/41 gearing...but I'm going to change that sometime now because I put on a -2 swingarm, just haven't gotten around to changing the gearing. But shee runs fine and I can really get killer holeshots with my setup & gearing. I just want to try other gearing to see if I'd like a different combo better. But my case-saver limits me to a 15 tooth front, I may go with 15/38 & see what I think.

Sounds like that to me, could be something with the stator a assume though since it did that after you advanced the timing. Makes me kinda weiry cause I'm getting ready to install an adjustable plate & advance mine +4 too.

Well, I just got off the phone with RS & my new 'stock' wattage stator on the adjustable plate is on its way. And my stealership actually has a banshee flywheel puller in stock!--$10 Woohoo!! shee's gettin' fixed. I hope that fixes it anyway...

I called them...total for the stock stator on the adjustable plate was w/tax & shipping to my place(67156)... $136.02 I forgot to ask how they'll accept payment, but I'll be using a credit card & I'm sure they take those.

Welcome to the HQ. It can be done, that's for sure. Many people insert high hp motorcycle engines in them, but primarily just to drag race. There's some company that does this and makes them all-around bikes, but I've lost their website address. There's a lot of work to be done if you put in a 4stroke motor also, mounting, finding a place for a batter, probably a special fabricated exhaust...more than I'd ever dare to mess with myself. With the right tools and time, anything's possible. I'd suggest you just rebuild your top-end, you'd save yourself a lot of time and money, + what's better than the thrill of a banshee on the gas!?

I'm pretty sure I saw a used stock one on the for sale section of this forum that was good for like $30. You'll be a hell of a lot better off buying a good used one than a new stock one.

Big jiggly titties or Big firm titties? Apples or Oranges? Z400 or KFX400? Pick whichever suits your style man. With nerfs...depends on what You are looking for,...with pegs, ones to use with existing pegs, heel guards or not, chrome or alluminum, etc... Similar with pipes,...read up on each pipe and pick the one that you feel would suit your style. For MX, I'd go with the PTR mids, for drag/dune bike I'd go with CPI. See what I'm getting at?

If your stator gets wet it can fubar it. Other than that, no tell'n from what I know. You can check them if you have the right tool, but I don't. I'm getting ready to replace mine again. This will be my 2nd one. My stock one took a crap out of the blue one day....shut'r down to have a smoke & what-not, went to start it up and never got it started until a new stator(OEM) was installed. Then 2 kicks & shee was good to go. Well a while back, at the dunes while riding my shee started to spit, sputter, & backfire only at WOT. I've checked everything more than twice now, only thing I haven't tried is a CDI--but I bet it wouldn't start or run as good as it does up until WOT if that was the case. So I'm going to get another stator(RS, to hell with OEM) and give it a shot. If that doesn't fix it I'll just bite the bullet & take it to a local banshee 'guru' who builds them for a living and tell him to fix the damn thing before I toss it in the river! Well not really...
