  1. How long are you dragging? I'd say stock with your mods or drop the front down a tooth.
  2. Hehe Here's to you! -->
  3. ^^What they said.^^
  4. They're great pipes. Had some on my g/f's old banshee with a graydon 2:1 system & a 35mm carb*I believe*. Ran damn good. I'd recommend the 33mm carb...that's what I'd get if I was going to that setup. As far as the pipe sound...the trinity pipes were no louder than my previous toomeys or current PC's.
  5. When someone posts on a forum that will allow you to without logging in with a Username & Pwd, they are 'annonymous' - or not logged in....or logged in as 'annonymous' - however you want to look at it.
  6. Don't have one & don't want one. The way I look at it, if I want to talk to someone; I'll call them. If I don't answer my home phone, there's a reason for that. If it's imporant, leave me a message & I'll call you back when I get a chance. If I don't answer my phone I'm obviously doing something, and chances are I don't want to be bothered. Anyone remember when we did just fine without cell phones? Today everybody & their brother has one...except me & I don't plan on getting one anytime soon. Nothing eeks me more than when I'm out fishing with the buddies & a damn cell phone rings, then I get to listen to whoever bullshit to someone about shit that could wait 99.9% of the frigg'n time. Or when we're out riding & stop for a bit and someone picks up there damn phone to check their VM or call their g/f or whatever. Or when the person driving in front of you is more concerned about the call they're on than driving the speed limit or paying attention to WTF their doing! Anyone else feel the same? Perhaps I should have put this in the roosting room!
  7. Just curious...don't believe you have to, but do you have to crack the case to replace the shift shaft? Mine keeps getting bound up on the shiftstar, pops out & I have to un-bind it. Shimming up the shifter has helped, but I believe the piece on the shaft that shifts the gears along the shift star is bent a bit *I think*& since shee's naked to the frame right now & I have the motor on my work bench I thought about replacing it. Was just wondering for sure or not if you have to crack the case to get'r dun?
  8. You'll be just fine. I love my -2 arm on the sand. Shweet.
  9. How much are you wanting to spend? A buddie of mine just ordered some Works Triples with rezzies from C&D Racing for $536 that are getting set up for his weight & riding style. Not a bad deal, wait time is 4-6 weeks.
  10. Here's a pic of my rail...inheritance from my dad. Feel free to check out my site for some more pics. We build all of our own rails from the ground up. Our frame builder now has his own buggy business - http://www.johnsonsbuggies.com out of El Dorato, KS. This buggy is an Invader frame, we bought it used and then rebuilt everything. Some of the specs are...1968 VW Stroker, ratio rockers, WD130 Cam, Lowgear Bus IRS tranny, Neal single-handle turning break, CNC pedals, and now 16.50 Competator paddles(not shown) It's also been repainted gun-metal gray since this pic. I plan on doing more mods in the future, going to make it a mid-travel,...basically the same ass end, but with a long-travel setup up front. It's a blast, but like the shee...can be a money pit very easily. I'll be down at LS the last weekend of April if all goes as planned. Any HQ'r that wanna ride...hit me up. Another pic of some of our group....probably getting near 60 some buggies now! Great guy...builds nice chit too! On our builders site, johnsonsbuggies.com there's a video of a Jackson built car if I remember correctly.
  11. I couldn't afford the gas.
  12. 1st - Go buy yourself a clymer's manual. 2nd - Make sure you carb slides are in sync. & carbs are clean. 3rd - check compression on each cyl. 4th - let us know what you find.
  13. Me 2! I hear that though...I'm hooking my nephew up with my old trx125 for his 3rd birthday on April 2nd. Lucky little shit...
  14. I'm going to be down the last weekend of April I believe, I'm taking the sandrail, the g/f's EX, and mabye my freshly rebuilt banshee with a nice new powdercoat job if it's done in time. Just got back from LS last weekend & I'm already ready to go back!
  15. I'm getting ready to powdercoat my shee as well. I'm getting my powder from Tiger Drylac - http://www.tigerdrylac.com Here's the color chart,...I'm most likely getting the 'Sparkle New Red'. Doesn't look like much on the chart, but it looks pimp on the actual catalog they sent me....like a dark red with a badass sparkling metallic in it. http://www.tigerdrylac.com/images/color_specialfx.jpg They were out of the color I want the last time I checked, may have to go with another color...but I haven't decided which one yet. They even have a glow-in-the-dark color! Would be kinda cool, but I don't like the base color.
  16. Exactly what BenBB said... On that note, I just got a stock wattage stator from RS on an adjustable plate. Had to do some filing on it to get it to fit, but no biggie...advanced the timing 4 degree's & shee is running good. Install was a synch, just don't forget to adjust your pickup coil! I wouldn't go with an OEM stator, I tried one before the RS stator & it lasted only about 20hrs, and cost about $160 more than the RS on an adjustable plate. Just MHO.
  17. In most cases, not a damn thing...until you replace it. You most likely wouldn't even be able to start it. If I were you I'd do a WOT plug check, see if it's maybe a jetting issue. Also, you may check for air leaks around the intake boots where your carbs attach....it could idle ok, but when you're on it--suck air & spit/sputter. Possibly a stator issue, I had spitting & sputtering problems at & only at WOT...replaced the stator & I had no more issues.(went with a stock wattage RS on adjustable plate) You can check your stator with an OHM meter. Hope this helps.
  18. Don't know how many people's shee's I've tapped the damn peg bolts on! Including mine!
  19. Bet the treehuggers love that shit! Pretty stupid if ya ask me.
  20. Just snoop'n on the net... And Who said I like Zeppelin!?
