  1. Me too....after I got in a hurry & installed my new stator I neglected to remember to adjust it. So when I got it back together & kicked it once, all there was was a rattle on the left side. I though, "that's no good" & pulled it all back apart, sure as chit, GD pickup coil was 'rattling' on the flywheel pickups. Luckily it only grazed it, no damage done at all...probably a good thing I didn't kick the crap out of it though! That woulda sucked. Just goes to show that it pays off to take your time & double check overthings before you try them the 1st time.
  2. Your pickup coil isn't hitting the pickups on the flywheel is it?
  3. I like the lever, but hate the adjustment assymbly! POS alluminum adjuster screw on mine always strips out or breaks along the threads when adjusting it. Maybe I just have bad luck, only replaced that piece like 5 times now in the past year.
  4. Same here,....if not, I start to get pissed.
  5. LMAO! Thanks man! But... I couldn't agree with you more.
  6. From my knowledge, kickass mod...but my cheap ass hasn't done it yet. Lightening the flywheel will give you better throttle response & less bog in the lower RPMs. You can do a search & find a lot of info on this topic, but I'm sure someone with expertise in this area will be on here shortly to fill you in or correct me if I'm wrong. hehe L8R!
  7. UNI filters are a brand of filter. Sounds like you have some of the Airbox filter inserts....where you drill a 1" hole & pop in the little round filters strategically on your airbox. I have a Toomey 2:1 clamp-on filter that has a UNI filter on it, don't run an airbox myself. When I wash my quad I just tie a plastic sack around the filter & give'r hell!
  8. No joke! I assume you did put oil back in it after it leaked, right.?
  9. Been there, duned that. Except I was a jackass & didn't tighten down the adjustment doohickie on the torque wrench, so she ended up getting about close to 20lbs...moral of story, don't work on the shee while highly intoxicated.
  10. Sounds like ya got your hands full. I'd like to see some pics of the carnage myself. Good luck, shee will appreciate the rebuild.
  11. Well chit. I'd double check the carbs, what you mentioned, uhhhhhh air filter clean? Checked the coil yet? uhhhhhhh surely some peeps can think of some more things to check. Have you traced your wiring around where ya got snip happy?hehe Not trying to be captain obvious, but ya never know... Keep a search'n, you'll get it right. I think we've all been there a time or two ourselves.
  12. I was kinda partial to mine. But life goes on...the HQ is still the HQ.
  13. It looks like a predator if ya ask me. They're alright quads, I've ridden them and they're cool. But it's definately not a bad marketing idea,...factually though, there is a dickload of nascar fans who will get a big fat chubby over that shit! Now I'm just curious as to when I can get my predator with WWE or whatever that wrestling shit is graphics!?
  14. Haha,...same thing I was doing when I ran into problems. Just make sure that you adjust the pickup coil. I had to adjust mine, I 1st forgot, and it was hitting the pickup coils on the flywheel & wouldn't fire for shit. Adjusted the pickup coil & shee was all better. Luckily I found what I had done before I hosed it.
  15. Here ya go...sounds like you're on the right track. Did you adjust the pickup coil? I have the same plate, advanced mine +4 & won't go back.
  16. I've yet to find a product to remedy sun faded plastics.
  17. Just get you a 6pack & some sand paper. You cheapest & best bet probably, minus the 6'r.hehe It doesn't take too long to do, and you'll have much better luck selling them with a fresh paint job than a chitty rust job.
  18. That's what I've always ran. Good ol Valvoline 10w30.
  19. I've tried it w/Dr. Pepper, not bad. More like liquid crack with RedBull. Is all good, until the next morning...or days after depending on the consumption level. My head hurts just thinking about it. Thanks 00!
  20. haha Got to looking at it again, what's up with the elephant bumper!? Looks kinda chitty if ya ask me. The question about the JR one over the Senior...good point, all I can say to that is the market they're after....the younger(jr) generation.
  21. Nice EX 00banshee...here's a pic of the 2banshees R.
  22. That's pretty much all there is to it. Couldn't have said it better. I think we came to the conclusion on one of my old posts about the width needed if ya don't have a feeler guage...pretty sure it came down to the width of a matchbook's flap.
  23. That's what I said! Well kinda, mentioned chanell locks, guess that's what I get for growing up on a farm.^^
  24. If I slammed a beer right now... haha, I'd actually probably be alright now; but it still doesn't sound too appealing right this moment.
