  1. Is the clutch slipping or giving you problems? Don't f*ck with it until you have to, just MHO.
  2. True. RPM & LS have better warranties & stand behind their stuff better than duralube. I have a duralube???(bought used) axle & haven't had problems with it yet.
  3. Same deal here,...my boots always melt on my headers. You can scotch-brite the shit off of there & then polish it up with mothers. I'm to the point where i don't really give a chit...I plan on getting them ceramic coated someday when I get tired of looking at the melted shit on the pipes. Dunno where that post's at that you're asking about.
  4. Good choice.
  5. Just south of Wichita, KS - 63, scattered storms. Had some badass storms pass through last night, supposed to have more throughout the day.
  6. Happy 420 peeps!
  7. Haven't had time to mess with it. Between work 9-5 & class 6-10 every night except the weekends, I don't have much time. Plus with my dad having just passed away recently I've been keeping up with the farm & his house, etc. I'll get around to it. Gotta take the frame to get blasted tomorrow & hopefully off to get it coated this weekend. I imagine I'll git'r done, if not the dude from Burgard's going to get an earful & I'm going to get a new one with 'fragile, handle with care' all over the MF'n box it comes in. Learned from experience...sometimes the best way. Sorry to hear of your misfortune & even more sorry I missed the titty show.
  8. -4 swingarm
  9. I hear ya frocash,...since my shee's in pieces right now I have the motor on the work bench,...pulled the head off & took a look, stock pistons look 100%....well over 100 hours or better. Even looking in the exhaust ports the pistons look tits & no build-up! Pass that one along to anyone who says you have to redo a topend frequently on the shee. Proper lubrication does pay off, ask her! And there's nothing like the smell of 927 in the morning...
  10. I helped a buddy put one on his shee a while back. It didn't exactly go on like butter, but wasn't too bad. My best suggestion is put all the mounts on & leave them loose until you get all mounted, then tighten them all down.
  11. Anyone ever dicked with the swingarm bolt on a 400EX? I've never had issues with mine, but I pull it & grease it for shits when I get bored or on a rainy day. Holyman's got the right idear though...
  12. Welcome to the HQ. in a nut shell...(Do a search & you'll find several posts like this) Take your clutch cover off, move your shifter & you'll see that the piece on the end of the shift shaft is bound up on the shift star, allowing you to only move it up or down one gear....you'll see what I mean. Just take a small flathead & un-bind it. Then put it back together & pull your shifter off, place a rubber washer on that shaft followed by a couple regular washers and bolt the shifter back up. The rubber washer will keep the regular washers from grinding into the stator cover. This will eliminate the left-to-right play of the shift shaft that allows it to bind up. Ride on!
  13. Sounds like fun. It's been a while since I've been to any snakehunts. I like to go mainly just to check out all the rides & watch...not much for riding on the big weekends, too much traffic for me. I'd rather be there on a weekend when there's hardly any people myself. So where's the titty pics?
  14. Very much so. No regrets on my -2 arm. I'm primarily a duner myself also. Shee will handle a lot better and is much more predictable. I also went with +2+1 arms & shocks all around at the same time. It was like night/day, literally.
  15. Who all went? Any pics? How was it down there?
  16. Werd. I PM'd Lee,...will just check back on here to see when it's fixed.
  17. I've ran both & prefer the toomey 2:1 w/UNI filter. It filters just as good as the K&N clamp-ons & requires less maintinance. Plus you don't have to dodge water puddles soo much like before. I got tired of replacing the outerwears on the K&N's about every other ride...still using the same outerwear that came with my 2:1 2 or so years ago.
  18. That'll put you at around $180 or so when it's said & done. I run Sand King's Turbo paddles...$160 ready to bolt on from http://www.jimssandtoys.com They're better built than skats are & hook up just as good as my previous 20" 9 paddle haulers, and are about $100 less. Here's a link to their site: http://www.kingstire.com/KT-177.htm
  19. That's what I'll be doing when the shee gets put back together.
  20. .....Then a '97 Banshee.
  21. Started out on an 85 trx 125(still have it) No pics currently though. Then took over my dad's 86 trx 200sx WTF is up with that?
