Nope...got my good truck in the garage at home & my dad's old truck that I'm driving under the awning here @ work.

Electricity is out...generator here @ work's chugg'n. Here's some pics from about 20 minutes ago outside our office...plus 80+mph winds. The sun's getting ready to come out again, gotta love KS weather.

Just your regular spray can, krylon rattle can. Each time he goes to repaint he'll sandblast the frame with fine sand,...then start with a bare frame. Let each coat dry before putting on another, may take a day or two to get it done...but if you do it right it'll last longer. He uses automotive clear coat too.

I gotta place you all could crash at if need-be. Not sure where it's at, if it's in Wichita or relatively close...I'd be happy to go up & check it out...get some pics & shit for ya. Not sure where it's at though...shoot me an Email or PM me if ya need anything. From philly, I dunno....it's about 12-13hrs to Chicago from here.

Krylon touch baby! I know a guy who goes with a different frame color each year. Each winter he does a complete tear down & inspects, cleans, fixes anything & everything on his banshee. Sandblasts the frame & starts with a new color each time he puts it back together. His shit always looks good, damn good. He's 100% duner with his shee. He says to use at least 2 good primer coats, then use 3 full cans of whatever color, coat after coat after coat after coat until the shit's gone. Then apply at least one full can of clear-coat, he uses 2.

I don't buy that one bit. Keep watching dateline... But I see what you're getting too. If you have views that harsh on pot, what's your take on alcohol? I guarantee that alcohol is 10x worse for your body than pot is when abused. You probably never lived with an alcoholic who made your life a living fucking hell for some time in your life either. Honestly, I think it was me getting the shit beat out of me by someone under the influence of alcohol all the time that lead me to smoking pot, I didn't want to be like that person who to me, was the root of all evil. I could get stoned & be happy, at least until I got home. At that point in my life I didn't give a shit, and pot helped me cope with the bullshit I was being put through and didn't deserve. And I'm far from on welfare. Even through my 'pothead' days I maintained a steady job, worked a 40hr week on top of school since I was a freshman in HS, and I maintained a 3.85gpa(f*ck Math!)...graduated ranking 3rd in my class. I'm still in college finishing up my Business Administration degree. Everything I have I've gotten on my own. I've had no financial assistance from my parents since I was in HighSchool. My point is, pot is something you can do without fucking up your life...if all someone wants to do is sit around, be lazy, & smoke pot; they have that choice. I still toke down a bit here & there, but I've never felt like I needed it or ever, ever had any problems stopping for periods of time...not once have I done any 'drugs'. If you consider pot a drug, then that's all I've done.

As long as you can get traction you'll be alright. You should win, but it may not be by a whole hell of a lot. Like cheeze said, he'll probably get the holeshot on ya but it should be downhill for him from there.

My g/f let me trade her banshee(92 wreck I rebuilt, had no title, tweaked frame--but looked ok, with mods) for an '01 400EX, I screwed some dealer in Ok on that deal. The EX is nice, I'm fixing it up for her. She likes the predictable power for cruising & general riding...but when we're at the dunes she's 1st to kick me off my banshee so she can go nuckin futs! Here's her old shee....need to get some new pics of her EX. Didn't look bad...here's a before pic. It was a wreck, but had some good aftermarket stuff that I scalped for my banshee & then rebuilt it with stock shit from mine for her. The motor was strong, but that's about it. I had to straiten about 4 places on the frame, welded several cracks...was a mess.

Wonder if you could take some silencer packing & pack it around the muffler & then bolt on some tin or something to hold it on. Would look like Jerry's Kids put it together, but who cares?hehe

Man...you've checked about everything I can think of...is there a choke tube connecting the keihins? Dunno, sounds like an air leak...but you've already eliminated that. I've not messed with those carbs so I couldn't tell ya. Could you have done something when you changed the jets?...have you pulled everything back apart & checked the carbs out? I dunno man, good luck. Someone with knowledge on these carbs on here should be able to help ya out.

You could always get shocks, then +2 arms....just a thought. You'd be better off with shocks setup for +2 arms on stock arms than +2 arms on stock shocks. You won't hurt the shocks, it'll be a bit stiffer in the front...just a thought.

You can but they're not valved right for the extra travel so they'll be more likely to bottom out easy. You'll be ok if you're just running the stock shocks temporarily until you can get you some better shocks.

Werd. I gotta give it to ya too, that cr500 shee is pimp, one of the best conversions I've seen to date in a shee.
