Not a good idea. Alcohol and fuel when mixed together makes things burn hotter. I would advise against this very strongly.

The ball and rod that engage the pressure plate to release and the adjustment in the center of the clutch basket is all related to the arrow on the clutch arm and the case. The adjuster in the pressure plate is how you line the arrows up. And the Clymer does a good job at describing the process of adjusting the shift shaft. It can be a little tricky, but take your time, and follow the instructions carefully...

Why not? Directly quoted from Douglas' website here: SO, the thickness of the wheel, determines it's strength, and thus they "labeled" it. Here is the LINK to where I quoted it from and HERE is their main page.

There's no "as well" about it. That's what we're talking about. There is an o-ring that seals the clutch cover passage where the coolant comes out of the pump housing, or into it, I am unsure which way it flows at the moment, but I think that the coolant flows into the pump at this point. There is also a water pump seal, that goes around the water pump shaft. This goes through the water pump housing and into the transmission. On the end of this shaft is a gear, which turns the pump, and makes it operate. It is unlikely for this seal to fail. Drain the coolant from the bike. Then drain the transmission oil. Now pull the kickstarter off, and pull the clutch cover off. You will see the o-ring on the clutch cover. On the inside of the clutch cover, you will see the water pump seal. It should be evident if the o-ring was leaking or not by it's overall condition. You should know.... If in doubt, replace it. It's cheap. if the head gasket was leaking, you would only be burning coolant. The transmission oil does not come into contact with the combustion chamber. Base gasket, the same thing. It can only mix with the oil at one of two spots. From the o-ring, or the pump shaft seal.

I don't know what your ruling out there? Someone may have stole what? you made no mention of anything? I don't know. I am confused about your post. Anyways, try grabbing yourself a clymer repair and service manual. Inside, you will find all the elctrical specs needed to check your electrical components, aside from the CDI. However, you will be able to rule out the coil, and the stator. If it isn't either of them, than the CDI is likely the culprit.

Why don't you try PassionRE, or Backcountry, (Patriot Racing), or Grand River Racing?

How Do I Know If My Crankshaft Is Still Good?
boonman replied to SyNtAxx's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I was just pickin' on ya. -
I am not sure about Deuce's motor, I don't remember the entire review he wrote on it. Top speed is determined by gearing however, and wheelies, well, with my stock porting, I can yank 'em in 5th without a problem. I have gotten them up in 6th, but that takes some doing. And it gets a bit squirrely.... SO, I would assume that Deuce's bike ought to be able to do the same. But, I reckon we'll let him answer that. I was just throwing that out there that a stock port bike will rip 5th gear without a problem...

Get an MX port, and a 2-1 pipe or some PT mids. And make the suspension as best as you can afford. And get a steering damper. Youwill need it. Fatigue loses XC races. Do all you can to eliminate it.

What Guage For Testing Compression On Cylinders?
boonman replied to J.D. Blackwell's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Holy shit!!!! That is a nice guage. I would hop on that if I was y'all!!! -
You should run the lowest octane you can that the motor doesn't detonate on. 87 is usually low, and most run about 91.....
-
You will need a Yamaha part # 2GU-11181-00 and it is around $20. From the dealer. I have used Cometics in the past. And I blew one. ALthough, my torque wrench contributed to this as well. I am on a stock head gasket, with no problems. I also bought a new torque wrench when I threw my old one through the wall.

How Do I Know If My Crankshaft Is Still Good?
boonman replied to SyNtAxx's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
.25-.75 what??? If that is inch measurement, that would be alot!!!!! I am thinking you mean .25mm-.75mm. That wouldn't be bad. .00985"-.02955" would be what feeler guage you would use.... -
It would not hurt to go to a stock crank. Although I can't figure why you would?
-
I believe it is 4/156mm on the front and 4/115 on the rear. Now, there is 2 years in which the rear hubs were different.... I don't remember which though

Dammit. I do know. However, I don't have the # with me at work. I will look when I get home. I have to be in the garage tonight to rip the ass end out of the sled. Anyways, I will jump up in the bearing stock load, and look up he #. Better yet, I'll sell you a set. make me an offer. you need 4 of them to do both rollers. 2 per roller.

SOunds as though you may have an air leak. Or, the crankcase filled up with fuel. Or, the pilots are clogged. I suggest puling the carbs to clean them out. Either way, the float valve(s) are not doing their job. They are not stopping the flow of fuel into the float bowl. SO, something must be done. Start there.

I am runing a -2.5 and I loe it. Dirt, traction is unparalleled by anything....
-
You should have them cylinders bored after porting. TO make sure that a ring won't catch... Unless your porter was very cautious....

You will not need race fuel on 21cc domes. Unless you have a custom piston of some sort. Which I doubt. High octane fuel is not cleaner burning. All the octane number tells you is it's resistance to detonation. It is a long going debate on here. High octane "racing" fuels are nothing more than to resist detonation in a higher compression engine. Not much more, nothing less. Now, there are oxygenated fuels. but, we won't discuss that. Run some 91 octane through it, and listen for detonation. Check the plugs. If there are silver specs, than it is detonating. Run a little higher octane. Do not run more than you need. Higher octane fuels NEED COMPRESSION to burn. It's a fact. If you don't have the compression, you won't be doing aything but draining your wallet uselessly.

.030" will yield nice gains, and you will still be able to run pump fuel. Reliable as stock..

Well, hear ye, hear ye. Tampering with a U.S. mailbox in a malicious manner is a FEDERAL OFFENSE. Felony Charges can be brought upon you. Which would not be a good thing. When the cops drop the hammer, it's blow may be heavy...

Well, dammit, stop covering yourself in "real work" and stop screwing around!!! Get to it and start making "fake work" and we'll all be better off!!!!

I ride the hill often. well, I usually head South off the hill. Too many Yahoo Blair Morgan wanna be's for my liking. Everyone feels they are mr. snocross. I have news for them. They're not. It is calmer off the hill. But, we usually stay down in C-ville. Hotel Parquet or with Mary C. Love the food at the TImbrview, but the Steak 'n' Brew is damn good as well. Also ski at Snow Ridge when I'm there in the winter snowmobiling. PM me and I'll let ya know the next time we're up that way if you sled....
