  1. I have never seen a warped clutch steel cause slippage. Grab some calipers and measure your clutch plates. Verify that they are within tolerance. Check your clutch pull. Make sure you have something there. It can be out of adjustment on your clutch perch, or the adjustment in the motor can be off too.
  2. Put the piston in the bore without the rings and check to make sure they are right. Then compress the ring and put it in the bore. If both of them fit fine...put it together.
  3. Always top it off with the motor running. Otherwise you can get an air pocket in the impeller and it will just cavitate.
  4. No, the snipers are a spread motor. I don't really pay any attention to them.
  5. The fastest twister that I know of runs 41's.
  6. I am not sure why you think this is going to turn into a pissing match? This IS a technical discussion.
  7. I true 152hp motor will run low to mid 60's. Nearly every record is held by a cast motor. An 18mm DM will put you over a true 150hp. I know most 18mm big block twisters that fight to get above 155. Please don't get it twisted. Twisters are nice, and they are great people. But dollar per hp, it is second option.
  8. What is the benefit of changeable manifolds or exhaust flanges? More junk to buy? It is cheaper to bore an iron sleeve, but you also have to bore them more because they are more prone to sticking. My last nikasil job cost me 180. That is two bores. I didn't even need to nikasil my cylinder, but after two years of racing, I figured I just should (This is on my DMX, not a cub). Twisters have better cooling? How do you prove this? My DMX runs at 105 degrees after a pass, and I don't even have a radiator. Does yours run cooler than that?
  9. Why anybody would spend $1500 for an unported twister small block that makes less horsepower than a $900 cub is beyond me. There is nothing that would sell me on a billet other than the "look" of it. The cub is faster, it is cheaper to build. It is cheaper to have somebody port. It is the most universal aftermarket cylinder on the market. You get what you pay for? Billet is expensive. But dollar per hp...you can't beat a cub. Not only that, but a billet small block will never out hp a cub. And no...it doesn't cost 400 to replate a nikasil cylinder.
  10. OEM covers are extremely weak. It doesn't take much to break one actually.
  11. Regardless, he should have just called you instead of making a scene like an ass hat.
  12. Happened to me at the last planetsand race. It has happened in the past on smaller bikes. But on a 3.5 bike that shut down runs out pretty quick. I was running lectrons and the needle came out of the carb and it hung the slide open.
  13. 7 bolts crack and distort more than the 12.
  14. You are in a sense doing the same thing. Claiming something that would be true for anybody else, while making yourself look good. That is like me saying "Hey, send your motor to me because I will charge you 50 dollars and you will outrun Rocket Racing's motors when they aren't set up right." Honestly who takes pride in beating somebody who isn't set up at least "close" to their potential. I am sure you are just trying to make a name for yourself, and you seem annoyingly nice (or naive). But I would word your listings better.
  15. They aren't welded and epoxied for strength. They are welded and epoxied to make room for the trenching that pierces THROUGH the cases with large stroker motors. Again...nothing to do with strength. The less welding you do to your cases, the better.
  16. Some nasty stuff, works great though.
  17. Oh, and it is nikasil plating Not being a smartazz, just helping ya out.
  18. Impossible to say. You just have to send it to them. They will treat you right. I would recommend Millenium first, www.mt-llc.com US Chrome second, www.usnicom.com
  19. Muriadic acid.
  20. Bad disc probably. Take the drive out, get the serial off the back of it and look it up on ebay. OEM parts should be relatively cheap.
  21. WD-40 is your friend. Send your girl my way. I'll show her some peace and comfort.
  22. They'll make you anything your heart desires.
  23. Least she had big tits...
  24. I wouldn't recommend a ripper on anything under 150hp. Pick up an extreme.
  25. Whenever I head over to Dome Valley we see a lot of border patrol trucks parked on top of hills. At night you can drive by the station and they are always filling up big coach buses with illegals. Crazy how many people they catch on a daily basis.
