  1. They are a racing ignition, so you won't be able to run any lights with it. They are fairly easy to set up, but you will need a dial indicator so that you can find TDC, measure, and set your ignition timing.
  2. I know the dynojet very well which is why I know what it will read versus the superflow. I don't care about the specific numbers. Hell, if I wanted ungodly numbers I can have the correction factor changed and it will read anything I want. That is not what anybody is after. I am not sure what makes you think I am going to the dyno just to verify the dynojet numbers. There will be changes. That IS the purpose of a dyno after all.
  3. Might head over to a superflow in the coming months. If I do, I'll let you know how they compare. I can already tell you that the superflow will read around 13% less though.
  4. Never had a problem with repeatability with ours, or my friends.
  5. I have a couple if you still need one.
  6. 46 or a 47 tooth 530 sprocket? Must be running one of them slow billet motors. Think the biggest I have is a 44. I think Fishon is selling a DMX. You should buy it
  7. Spongebob is Clay's user name over on PS and atvdragracers. His company name is Slipshot racing and he does build the nicest chassis around.
  8. Once or twice a day. Mainly just using HQ for the classifieds to stock up on parts for the race. No comment on all other aspects. Oh, and thanks for posting up that private message. If I wanted to make it public, then I would have just said it in the forum.
  9. Brandon, overrev is actually very important in drag racing. The more overrev a motor has, the more forgiving it is when you mistime your shift. If your bike falls out of its effective power range, even if it is for .1 of a second, that is a .1+ lost on your ET. By widening your overrev, it not only helps insure that you will hit your shift, but also prolongs the time your motor can stay in the power. I am on drugs? I never said anything about 14k being the norm, but you should be able to hit 11k fairly easy. Gee, maybe I will put my clapped out bike up against yours. How fast have you gone again? I'll keep my thoughts to myself. I forgot you guys are "experts". (not directed to Brandon)
  10. This is overrev. Tough concept I know.
  11. aviation. Stuff their run in airplanes
  12. QUOTE (C&B @ Mar 25 2009, 11:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dirty motherfucker! ill let walter know, sure hell be happy this fucks using his plastic I was selling some shocks a couple months back, then shortly thereafter some fag stole my picture and used it for his auction. I reported it and it was gone within 20 minutes.
  13. He was trying to be a smart ass. He failed...lol
  14. You can have his shit pulled if he is using images from another ebay ad. Buy something cheap, get his address...pay him a visit
  15. You are right in that they are cast in the same mold. However, the case bearing surfaces are bored together. Two mismatching cases will generally seal no problem. It is the bearing surfaces that will not match. I have tried mismatching cases 3 different times. It worked once.
  16. I didn't say free rev. I said overrev. Overrev is an effect between combustion and pipe design. The more overrev a motor has the better it will perform as it increases the usable horsepower in the upper rpm range. Notice I said you can get a motor to overrev to 11k+. If you cant get a motor to make USABLE power up to, or 11+, then IMO you have a setup issue. Even my big twin makes power at 11k+. If you can't get a baby 350 to make 11k+...yikes. You can disagree all you want. I have plenty of dyno sheets that prove the theory. Now, if you are talking a single cylinder, like a 250r, then yes, 8500-9500 is all they are good for, but not a twin.
  17. If you can't get a big motor to overrev to 11k you have a setup issue. A small bore banshee should be able to hit 12k without too much trouble.
  18. Well if you buy Dean's bike I am sure he'll send you a picture of his lady...lol
  19. A DM is nothing like a standard cheetah. A huge difference in the two cylinders.
  20. Dean bought that motor from Twister. He is a very nice guy with a very cute wife...lol Bike probably cost between 25-30k to build and IMO is worth about 15k imo just because it is an outdated cylinder and won't run with the current triples.
  21. I need a square plug stator. Has to be stock.
  22. Clutch basket? Stator? PM if you have them.
  23. Just paid a 400 dollar seat belt ticket yesterday actually. Join the rest of us.
