  1. Scored a set of stock carbs on a trade deal The needles that came with them are red, which I know are aftermarket needles but Im not sure what make.. Are these vitos needles? Couldn't find anything in the threads about them.
  2. Hmm weird I never heard that before. Im not a seasoned jetting expert but ive learned a lot from reading on here and trying different things. its not that one needle is better than the other, the letters represent the taper, length and diameter. So take a CEL needle and a CGL needle. They are the same letters except for the E and G in the middle, which represents the length of the needle, the G is longer. (which I mis spoke in my last comment) since the needle is longer is makes the needle a leaner needle. Read through this.. depending on what your motor needs, jetting wise, that's how you can chose what needle might be better for your setup. https://www.duncanracing.com/TechCenter/KeihinCarbJetting.pdf page 10
  3. Man u really wanna get rid of these don't you? Ive seen them on craigslist, here and every banshee fb page out there lol why don't u want them ??
  4. Most people use CEL needles and are usually on the 4th clip or middle. CGl is almost the same needle but a tad longer. 45-48 pilot and work your way down from a 158 main that will prolly be rich af but better to start on the safe side and work your way down on the main. What cylinder setup do you have? serval ? driveline?
  5. I saw payment plan comment and knew that griff would be in shortly, so I just came to see what griff had to say lol
  6. Is everypart of the hills that steep??
  7. Also to add to that, if u have the stock caps, take those little rubber protectors off at the end of the plug caps where the wires go in, so u can make sure u jam the wires up in there nice and good
  8. How is the riding there at the coal mines? I have seen all the vids on youtube and these hills looks massive, do they look that much bigger in real life?
  9. Thanks carl. A 30 pilot has got it sorted out.
  10. where r u located?
  11. yeah your tip is wrong. must be could also be the tester. I think our elevation is almost the same im around 700 to 900 and im 170 psi with 20s. bout to switch to pump gas my wallet is light from 110 stupid choice on my part for a trail bike but what evr.
  12. If your doing long strait pulls most the time, cpis or shearers will be good, anything other than that, get slp pipes. They make the same power but come on earlier. Traction is an issue most the time bc the power comes on so strong and fast. I will say pcs are a nice pipe too I loved those when I had em. but if ur gunna spend the coin and don't mind go with those 3 I suggested. just my 2 cents
  13. I got it leaned out now with a 42 pilot. are you telling me I have a lean needle? that's def not the case, im at the 4th clip on a CEL needle. middle was too lean, 4th clip worked fine.
  14. iirc doesn't lower port timings increase compression? shouldn't those 20 cc domes put you above what you were before with higher port timings? or am I getting something mixed up
  15. what the hell is happening here
  16. pm sent btw u suppose to post prices
  17. A lot of ppl dont like face to face. Thats why glory holes exist
  18. haven't tried different carbs yet, I traded a guy off south texas page a set of stock ported cylinders for a set of stock carbs and pods should be here in the mail soon, ill try those out and see if that makes a difference with a diff set of carbs.
  19. yup that's the side that its on
  20. Ok so the bowl with the little Brass bb on the bottom of the bowl should be on the left carb (the on that has the choke plunger) right?
  21. Word. Yeah the plugs are looking more rich than id like with 30s, 27.5 should do it. But thanks for the input.
  22. plz tell me if u get this resolved. Dealing with the same issue. My slides are in the right way btw. I have to put gas in the cylinder plug holes to get it to start on its own. After it sits for an hour or so and gets cold. no starty. post updates if fixed plz!
  23. Spark is good. Havent tested dome clearance yet yes ginger reeds are good.. I tried 30s yesterday and it wouldn't start on its own so I primed it and it fired up.. then sat all day. Buddy came home hours later and it fired right up. So it might be fixed, but why tf did I need to prime the cylinders. I have a feeling the 30s are too rich. They are at 3/4 turns out right now so maybe when it gets hot af the air screws can be adjust enough to dial it in without needing smaller pilot. hmm...
  24. I already told him this via text. Having ur cylinders in the hands on a builder that KNOWS porting (not some dude who claims he knows porting bc he grinded on some cylinder with a dremmel) will be able to know that domes you will need set up with to run pump gas. Plus you will have all your other issues handled at the same time (bore and pistons). You keep saying its gunna cost this much more blah blah blah you haven't even talked to anyone yet and got quotes. good luck ive given you all I know to do and btw its not that we wont be satisfied if you don't send it to a builder. what you do doesn't affect us, but you come on here and ask what to do and then say nope im doing something else instead
  25. Ive been telling him to do that all day spurdy but he dont wannnnnaaaa
