First Shee, got a little screwed, advice please.
Ayesully810 replied to BurntLegs's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Stribz i got my hands on some stockers. Thinking about running them to see how they feel. I am not drag racing or ne thing so they might be better for what i do, dunes and trail. -

Good stuff man. Me and stribz both rock the 421 lp setup. Solid setup. Def get pods for your stockers. Think stribz is at a 350 main and 27.5 pilot with his stock carbs at 700 elevation. -
No not stock, but he has a friggin boost bottle that is gay as all get out and needs to be replaced with a co tube. It does put the gas line in a weird position at the top kinda, but its still flowing fuel to the carbs. When I go to change jets the bowls are full.

110 will be good for that compression

Man if your wanting to stay under that 1000 budget, just go ahead and buy the 392 cylinders from driveline. You will have a nice reliable motor that will make some nice power. 800 bucks for cylinders, pistons, everything, u can use ur head, get new domes cut for 55 bucks, and use ur t5s with stockers with some pods. will be a fun bike. Then you can sell ur current cylinders and have a few hundred extra bucks, that's what I would do at least. [email protected] or 2487933535 -
Chances are if you dont go to a sponsor and take it some where where they dont work on banshees or know them they are gunna order u some shit namura pistons. I had a local place try and do that with a kx i just re did. Just send it to a sponsor. That way u can remove any guess work and get additional questions answered

Choke tube is on and the bowls are on the right carb. Slides are in right as well as float level. Im at a loss

Trying to get my buddy's bike going for him... He just had it rebuilt, it has an aggressive Trail Port vforce 2 Reeds FMF stock carbs with pods +4 timing head mod on pump gas... 140 PSI. All electrical components have been tested and everything is within spec as well as swapped out with other electrical components to rule out any electrical issues. This thing will not start to save its life, but when I pour gas in the cylinders and put the plugs back in it fires right up idles nice and fine dialed in the pilot with the air screw at one full turn out with 27.5 pilots. Pulls through all the gears just fine it just won't start. 27.5 pilot , 310, toomey 4th 1 turn out. I tried a 30 pilot no dice

that pump gas was hindering your performance because your motor was not setup for pump gas (if your static compression was truly 180). Put Larger domes in and pump gas can be safely ran and run like a banshee should. But spurdy is right, you need to find out what is in there. Dome size, stroke, cylinder bore, etc.
-
Typo. I mean larger sorry i knew that
-
No i meant its possibly for him to assemble everything himself and save money. Obvi an oversized bore from a builder of choice with new pistons is the way to go
-
I would highly recommend getting smaller cc domes so you can run pump gas and not eff ur engine. That can be done when you go to order pistons from a builder on here
-
Yes its possible. First take apart your top end and post pics of everything. Pistons and what the insides of the cylinders look like
-
You beat me to it. Thats just gunna go over his head Op if u really wanna learn how to work on these, read in these forums as much as you can and use that search bar to type in key words of what ur looking for. Ive been on here actively for a year now almost and ive learned a lot and am still learning, most ppl here are willing to help too. Learning to diagnose a problem is important that way ur not chasing ur tail
-
Yeah i thought shearers too. Well u can tell by looking at the cylinders if they have been ported or not but u should probably just post pictures on here. You know if u have a cool head if its shiny haha i guess thats best way i can explain it for you. Reeds- if they are v force reeds it will say on the sides of the cages. If compression is 180 then you have a cool head or a stock head thats been modified. If u have a different crank than stock they are stamped on the side of the rods with a model number
-
What are all ur mods that you have? I am assuming you have a cool head? Do u know what size domes are in there?
-
Yeah. Look up here on the forums how to do it. Just search "leakdown test" then make a tester ur self or buy one from south texas banshee. He has vids too on how to do it if the threads dont help you. This test helps detect air leaks in the motor.
