  1. I'm sure I can find something around here to blow up that you will enjoy. Now if I can just figure out why my carbs take turns dumping fuel ill be all set.
  2. Ok everyone can be a genius. It had me so frustrated, at one point I was going to fill the cases with tanneries and shoot it.
  3. You sir are a motherfucking genius. I haz spark!
  4. Yea that TORS box is hooked up but nothing else to do with throttle override is hooked up. I am going to do the testing you said in a few minutes and I will report bac with all findings.
  5. Yes I checked all of the required resistances and they are all well within specs. I completely forgot about the voltage box. I believe that is the small black 3 wire connector box on the shifter side right?
  6. Ok, a few months ago I broke my tranny. Just got it all back together and has no spark. I have checked the stator and the pickup coil, they are both good. Tested the secondary coil( between both plug wires) and that was bad. So I picked up a new one today and tested it before I put it on and it tested good. Both the primary and secondary were good. So I pulled my wiring harness and found the White with green stripe and white with red stripe smashed and had bare wires. So I cut them, soldered them and shrink wrapped them and tested for continuity. All checks out. I thought it might be my key switch so I bypassed that with the red and the black soldered together and shrink wrapped. Still no spark, plugs are brand new. Any ideas would be wonderful. Thanks a lot fellas.
  7. Golden Spectro 42:1 93 octane Bel-Ray 75w 50/50 From Advanced Auto
  8. I use Husqvarna bar and chain oil mixed with some tranny fluid. Works great. As for cleaning I just spray it off with a hose then wipe it down thoroughly.
  9. Who cares about HP? Just ride the damn thing...
  10. I am about 45 minutes South of Grayling(Farwell). If I get the Banshee finished up before spring, my girlfriend and I would love to hit some trails in that area.
  11. Thanks guys, I just found one today locally.

    Stock Tranny

Need a stock tranny. Let me know what ya got and how much.
  13. I ride Black Mountain quite a bit. I would be game for a ride up there anytime. My work schedule is 15 on and 6 off. So If its the right weekend I am completely availiable. Those hillclimbs in the scramble area are a blast!
  14. Ambushes are the only way to go. I ride tons of dirt, sand and gravel. These things are Awesome!! Best tire I have had. Really bad on the yard though....lol
  15. Choke tube. Mine did the same thing. There is a small tube that connects both carbs. My money says that its not there if you are having this problem.
  16. Tranny locked up yesterday, time to rip it all apart.

  17. Something similar happened to me today. Quad was running a little shitty but I just figured dirty carbs cause the plugs are new. I started to notice it was shifting a little hard but I just chalked that up to my boots. So I am riding in 2nd not even into the power, just putting, all the sudden the back tires locked up and it wouldnt shift into neutral or anything. So I yanked the plugs out and found gear oil around them. But the strange part is that it won't kick over either. So I am thinking that the oil getting to the crank bent the rod and killed the crank as well. I will know in a few days. Sucks balls though. EDIT- forgot to mention I checked the oil and it's not on the stick, and I think my crank seal was shot.
  18. Got spoiled with a weekend off, now I do not want to go back to work tomorrow....

  19. ...airbox?... By the way, I have it running great again.
  20. I've always used Golden Spectro, and Bel Ray 75w in the crankcase. But Lucas generally makes good products, wouldn't hurt to try.
  21. Mine did that too. I cleaned carbs and leaned out the jetting. Just my experience, it might not be it, but it wouldn't hurt.
  22. On the contrary, today I pulled the jugs, mic'd them, took them to the machine shop for a real good inspection. They turned out fine, Went to the Yamaha shop, picked up a set of rings, re ringed it. Split the case and took the crank to the machine shop as well. It is all within specs, diesel flushed both cases. Then I put it back together and everything is fine....except I cracked an intake boot putting it back together. So now I have an air leak, which I am headed to Motorcycle Salvage tomorrow to scavenge one, and then it will be all set! I WAS going to half ass it, but I decided it will only take me a few hours of dicking around to get it right. So I got it right.
