  1. I always start it, let it warm up while checking everything for leaks and loose thing. Then I ride it medium for about 10 mins, go back and check everything. After that I ride the hell out of it.
  2. It is possible to have a "factory freak". I'm not saying I believe it, but I'm not ruling it out.
  3. I just had to re-hone my cylinders because of a low end BOG. They only had 105psi in each side and it ran like crap. I just put it back together about an hour ago and now it has 125psi and runs great. Point is, low compression can do exactly that. But as always do a leak down, then a compression test. After that check the jets.
  4. You must not understand, this is by far the most sensitive thing I have ever owned. I just got it done and it runs great now, but just a PITA.
  5. My trail junk is +2 and its fine. Gives it a little more oomph.
  6. Mine is ported and only makes about 62hp. So right out of the box, I would say no to 60hp.
  7. Exactly, the one nut and washer I forget every single time(which has been 7 times.). Is the lock nut for the clutch adjustment screw. Then I have to drain all fluids and pull the damn clutch cover again!!
  8. I also have a big bore stocker with a trail port that is tons of fun.
  9. I have a ported 392 and it rocks. Just gotta take care of it.
  10. Bad luck I reckon. But I really dislike how picky it is to changes. Just a slip on and it was poppin and shooting flames. Adjust needle and re-jet fixes it. K&N Air filter, runs like shit, change main jet, move needle again. Modify airbox, runs like shit, adjust mixture screw, change pilot and its fixed. Just irritated at how sensitive it is.
  11. Are these the 916 Two into one?
  12. Take the boots off the carbs and pull the entire air box... Then once that is out you will be able to get to the screws and replace them.
  13. If only mine was built for drags, than I could hang out with the MI crew.
  14. Can you post a picture of what screws your trying to get out? I hope it's not your actual intake bolts, as those should be 10mm with washers.
  15. I have a YFZ450 that I would like to set fire to. Pain in the ass sensitive POS.
  16. Get a Ricky Stator and a boost bottle.
  17. Use a flathead that spans all the way across. Or get a bigger Phillips and tap it in with a hammer.
  18. I got T5s on my trail Banshee and they rock. I had PT Mids but didn't like them much. Haven't tried DMC yet. But pipes, jet, air box, +4 degrees timing and you will be happy.
  19. I like to just scatter mine around my garage, and then spend 6 hours putting a top end together cause I can't find anything.
  20. Those 700s move. My 392bb with a trail port beats them by about 2 lengths. But they are impressive with just a few simple things.
  21. What?..?
  22. Bel Ray 75w.
  23. Yes weld the crank. Although it does suck when the weld breaks....
  24. X2. I just freshened mine up cause it ran like shit with only 100psi in each cylinder.
