My trail tires are cut Carlisle Turf Tamers. I didn't cut them straight, I just made my own pattern and they work great. My Raptor has Ambush rears and I like them a lot.

If all it needs is rods, then get a stock stroke hot rods kit. Unless you plan on going all out and stroking it, I would say no to welding the crank. -
I also rock pods and mainly trail ride. But I have hit mud before on accident and sucked muddy/sandy water right into my cylinders. For the simple protection, I would like to go back to an air box.

You had top end power issues with the slides facing the wrong way? Usually you get a rich condition if slides are wrong. Is the choke tube between the carbs? -
120 or higher. Less then 110 rebuild.

He didn't say aggressive, he just said a well done trail port. I threw aggressive in to be extra awesome.

Made a couple calls, took some measurements, and found that it is aggressive trail ported. The first site sponsor I called was assloads more helpful then the second one. I gave the first guy just the numbers and he told me how it should run, and he was spot on. Was very happy finding out its not a mathematical disaster.

I would love to ditch my pods in favor of a box. I ride dusty, dirty, and sometimes wet trails.

I ran it all last year, ran good. I would have expected more out of it though. Must be a shitty port job, or I'm just crazy.

How do I measure the duration, the bottom ports are worked over as well. Just trying to figure out what the person was going for when they did it.

Got a pair of Turf Tamers on mine and they work well enough. Have Ambush on fiancés Raptor and they are awesome for trails.

Ok so after all my spark issues and putting my turd back together, I had 100psi in each cylinder. So I went to work pulling it apart and was wondering if these numbers mean anything to you gurus'. Pistons are #9439 67.92mm. Rods say WSM 45-520. Are there any bore size issues or is this a weird rod number? In advance, thanks guys.
