woe is me! Well I would say something smart and point you to the pinned thread that is located at the top of the jetting forum, recommend that you find a set up like yours and go from there.. stock carbs, pipes, 25-27.5 pilots, with 280 mains. Screw your 50/50 mix of race fuel, unless you have a cool head with higher compression you are pissing money away. Airbox? Lid or no lid? no lid requires more fuel. So it wont idle, are the carbs synced. Did you sync them with a vacuum tool? Did you do it as yamaha has in the manual using the window? Carb Sync: Use a tool, they are 30 bucks on ebay or 55 from FAST. Click me to Purchase a carb tool!! First set idle, making sure that both carbs are pulling about 5 on the vacuum scale. Next take the cover off the throttle box, and put something to open the throttle. You dont want the bike to run away such as wide open, it just needs to open the slides a sliver off idle. adjust until it pulls same vacuum with both carbs. Adjust your Air screws. I adjust the air screw to where the bike revs up, then dies off, then I put it back to the peak and just adjust the right side air screw to the same as the left. If your carbs are clean, and sync'd and you have no air leaks it will idle. Good luck, Adam

You are getting no spark at all? Starting at the stator, is the pick-up .020 away from the magnet on the outside of the flywheel? Are the connections for the stator plugged in the harness, is the key on, switch on, coil plugged in, caps on the plug wires tight, plugs new? Is the any left over crap from the TORS hooked up? Is they key switch plugged in, or do you have a jumper for no key switch? I would start there. Adam

I would say it is not the piston that caused your rod problem. Personally its all about change. Most people do not like to deviate from what they know performs. Wiseco's hold up better than most any other piston. Depending on riding style, other mods almost any piston will give you the performance. If you ride like I do, you are hard on your motor, you mix your oil lean, and you expect your engine to perform for a long period of time, they cheap0 pistons will not support you. Adam

Really for that kind of money a port job will liven up the stock cylinders a lot, then you add new pistons, cool head and you are at the same price with just as much to work with. Adam

Mostly its the acid in the soda that eats the rust. First thing I do is switch the wrench when I can get something off and try to tighten it a bit. Sometimes it wont back out but it will break the rust going forward. then out it comes!! Good posted idea Adam

For you guys that like the craigslist adds
ticktock replied to Baytownshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I think its pretty gay really, nothing exciting about a motorcycle engine in a banshee! -
Don't wast the money on Namura pistons. Buy ProX if looking for something cheaper, but wiescos are the best. If you are not ported you can go with Vito's Superstock. They are made for Vito's by Wiseco. They do add more power. Adam

Post a price. It's part of the rules, follow or GTFO -
Title is based on the Frame for all titles. What more than likely happened is someone when selling te atv wrote a bill of sale on the engine number and then they took that to the DMV and got a title. Adam

K&N Power Lid Filter 50.00
ticktock replied to 06bluebanshee's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Bump for a bitching deal. Non restrictive flow, outerwears and you can run a uni filter for fine particles. I have one on my bike and it rips. This is a smoking deal This is a replacement airbox lid/filter. Post a pic!! Adam -
Spark on both plugs? Right plug getting fuel? Compression check, pull right pipe look at the piston. Might have a problem.

im going to double tap on that vent in the gas cap. It sounds like its not getting the air. Open your carbs and check your reeds, if you shine a light on the reeds you can see if they are still there through the carbs while its wide open. Also check your pickup gap. Might have something to do with it, set at .020. You can download the manual below if you need to. How long will it just idle? have you let it idle for a few minutes, and then when you get on it, it dies? TORS all removed? Flywheel, electrical connections on CDI, stator, carbs, reeds, pickup gap, vents, pull pipes look at exhaust side of pistons. Smell the tranny oil, check the coolant level. Best of luck to you man,

Thanks Troy, So I took the motor down to nothing, Threw most of it away, I pulled out the cam, put in an excellent shape stocker, replaced center case, put OEM crank back in, replaced oil reed, seals, gaskets, and reassembled. I picked up the cylinder from a friend, did an acid wash and a touch up hone, and had the valves reshimmed. I cleaned the shit out of everything, with a citrus based cleaner that ate most of the dirt out of the pores in the motor, then I used AC cleaner over that and got about 95% of the shit outta the pores. Had the bike looking like new again, douched the plastics with the a new simple green shit and cleaned them up nice, then armoralled the plastics and cleaned with WD-40. Shit was bling bling when it left. I couldnt be certain what happened with the motor, why did the crank let go? I did all the work for free, I threw him a set of gaskets and crank seals, he purchased the rest. It took a month to get everything back together because of the cylinder and ordering the piston, should have got it on ebay - Thanks a lot Troy!! I had to wait 10 days for him to purchase the case, he was waiting on payday - I offered to pay for it and then ended up doing it to get it out of my garage. End of the story is Nick is happy as shit, it cost him 385 dollars, but could have easily been over 1k anywhere else. he is in the Navy, stationed next to me. So I threw him a bone and did everything I could to help the guy out. He was very nice and never once said I fucked him over or any of that shit. He has been riding the hell out of it for 3 weeks now and totally loves it. I also fixed his truck when he came to pick it up. He backed into someone and the tailgate was down and it bent the shit out of the brackets so I banged them 90% straight. If you guys are ever in Va Beach and need a garage, bring the beer. I live on Barberry lane , Cant miss the big blue and white boat outfront and the black truck with the BansheeHQ sticker in the back window!!! Adam

Best tires IMO are black waters, realtors, and mud sharks. Unfortunatly all 3 are discontinued. Mud sharks are still available if you can find them. Adam

My thought was like changing pinion shaft gears in a car rearend. Where 411 are a lower gearing making more torque but 383 will get more speed. Since an atv also has chain and sprockets I could change gearing there aswell but allowing a larger range of gear changing in the long run.
