  6. here... "Avoid oils that say "energy conserving" in the bottom half of the donut. These oils contain friction modifier additives that could cause clutch slipping over time. All XXw-20 and XXw-30 oils are energy conserving, and should not be used in your motorcycle." http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Consumables.html#Oil
  7. go to a auto parts store and look at the backs of all the "30s" and the say energy conserving meaning they have friction modifiers in them, now go look at every other bottle and they dont say that this is unless the "30" ones say they dont but in this case hes talking about basic engine oil which most of them are energy conserving
  8. any kind of oil ending in "30" has friction modifiers the rest dont so you can use royal purple 10w-40 but not 10w-30
  9. From my understanding, the air striker has more vents so that you have less of a chance clogging all of the vents with dirt if your racing
  10. ummm, those look horrible, id say your extremely rich bring your mains down to a 260, ans 25 pilots

  14. ok i checked to see if it lost any coolant and it hasnt, i changed the plugs and the one on the fly wheel side was "damp" not wet, but the other on is dry. i tried to check to the spark but i couldnt get a good look and the tester but i could see a blue spark going across on both plug caps. But then i took the air filter off and looked down the carbs and the left side wasnt going the whole way down if you pushed the throttle in and slowly let it back down, but if you let it drop it closes the whole way, and if you do this while its running it idles higher if you let it down slowly, and it goes to normal if you let it drop
  15. hmm didnt check coolant, ill check that now. plugs should be good but ill replace them and see. i synced them by eye. and ill check the spark then tonight so its easier to see. thanks
  16. The fly wheel side pipe smokes more than the clutch side pipe, why would this be? no airleaks, pwk 28s with 48 pilots and 148 mains LGN needles on middle clip, both floats set at 19mm, the fuel line tee is even, compression on the fly wheel side is 160, clutch side is 157, the clutch side is packed with 6 S.O.S pads (lol) the fly wheel side is packed with silencer packing that will soon need replaced, the idles arent set the same ( i tried to get them as close as possible but the screws are in a tight spot) So what should i do? should i buy a sync tool and get them sycned up or what?
  17. well what do you need to know?

  23. did you get my pm with the parts i wnat?
  24. hmm i like it alot like this, i think it might be lean because if i rev it takes alittle longer than it used to but i was really rich, it takes like 1-2 seconds to come back do to a idle. there a no bogs or sputters anywhere in the throttle range when i rev it but it was to late to ride it.
  25. Ok thanks!
