Just put a Chariot 2pc stator cover on one of the bikes, this is the one with an outboard bearing support. Also put on a Mattoon Water pump cover that i picked up @ Redline Racing (thanks Cam). Everything except the pipes on this bike are machined or brushed aluminum and go well with the JDS Lockup support ring. What i started with > My impressions of the Chariot cover 1st: 1. Well packaged. (see unpacking photos) My favorite tool for these bikes. Long battery life, suprisingly strong!! And small enough to fit in the tight spots New sprocket nut that accepts the bearing support in cover Finished product (matched well with all the other brushed aluminum i think)! The Cascade Gear Slammer is nice too BTW Now the Mattoon Water Pump cover. 1. This particular design is deep enough to clear the Chariot ultra High flow impeller BTW The Mattoon cover is a good high quality part and fits well. The material feels much more "dense" than the Modquad i had. I dont know if Mattoon uses a higher grade Aluminum or its just thicker, but it feels MUCH higher quiality than the Modquad, plus itll clear the deepe Chariot water pump impeller as stated before. This one came from Mattoon polished,so i had to scotch brite the face of it to get it to match all the brushed aluminum. Plus i painted the flutes in it black to accent the black bike. Also in the picture you'll see the JDS lockup cover reinforcment ring. What can i say,its another high quality, well fitting product,,,what more can you as for? All the vendors i mentioned here had great customer service ( Mattoon,Chariot,JDS,Redline Racing) and had more than fair pricing.

Its odd that you would say that, seeing how your idol hates PJ's.....

Just got my Banshee, want to totally go through it
sprinklerman replied to murder_face's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Before you tear then engine apart, do a leakdown test to see if you have any leaky seals that need to be replaced. If you DO tear it down, you might as well replace them anyway though. FYI The engine wont blow up like Kozy said in his reply if the carbs aren't synced. They should be sync'd ,true, but its not going to blow up like he said. So take whatever he says with a grain of salt..... -
I like this one personally. Easy to find too > RK 520 GB MXZ4 9000lb rating and only 2.99lbs per 100links. One of the lightest 9000lb chains you'll find. At least in a non-sealed chain.

I want to build a 4mil cheetah
sprinklerman replied to snowman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
The cases will have to be trenched anyhting over 4mm. The 10mm cyls will not need a spacer. -
^^ This guy has been on one lately huh? To the OP, YES, get the trans modded. It benefits stock bikes,,add cub cyls and your estimated 93HP,,then it becomes imperative IMO. I have tried it both ways, and can assure you ,if done right, its worth every penny and then some. See my signature for who did mine.

Old Product, New Use; Miller Light Cans!
sprinklerman replied to SlowerThanYou's topic in Product Reviews
haha, that's almost as bad as all the Coors Light cans around here pulling double duty as shock reservoir covers. -
Like i said,im not 100% sure, i just remember reading that in a couple places. I think it would be good to have it confirmed though. You know like the commercial says, "they cant put anything on the internet that isn't true".. ..BTW, im a french model,Bonjour. haha

^^^ This x2. Makes you reeaaally think about selling anything these days.
-
I thought it was DDU,but wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for confirming , the OP should keep that in mind if he has a US builder do work for him.

My Passion 4mm 12 port stock cyl for ice racing.
sprinklerman replied to trickedcarbine's topic in Product Reviews
Thats good to hear! Its always good to be pleased with how you've spent your hard earned dollars . Sounds like you represented at the races too! -
I'd steer away from buying your kit from Ebay. With the setup you are talking about, id suggest calling a builder who will cut you some custom domes for your fuel and the type of long distance / higher RPM driving you are going to be doing. I really like the way Redline sets up his Cub cyls and domes personally. They aren't as "peaky/pipey as some Ive rode, while still providing ample top-end HP. I'm sure he could make you a nice rideable 421 Cub that would rip up the streets. Also, id double check that 98 octane rating, make sure its calculated the same as here,so that whatever builder you choose is comparing apple to apples on fuel.

Can someone translate so we can help?

My advice is to call a couple builders, find one that you are comfortable with, and have them setup all the parts you need for the rebuild. If you want to save a few bucks, and are comfortable doing it, save your money by doing the assembly,,,NOT by buying parts here, and parts there, and parts from Ebay, etc. You need the domes, porting, base gasket, tolerances and all that to be a complete package. That way it'll make the most power reliably. Plus, most of the builders here will cut you better deals than you would EVER find online,,IF you buy it all from them in one shot. The total price will be cheaper than buy pieces here and there and then hoping it all works together. This is especially true on the domes. If you decide stock cyl (whether stock stroke OR 4mm) id highly recommend you at least give Redline a call ( see my signature) and check out the dyno section for some of his results,,,they speak for themselves. Hope this helps.

I would have CamATV cut your transmission for sure. When you start putting down some power (sometimes even just piped) the tranny starts shifting like crap. You will be kicking yourself if you put it all back together and still have the crappy shifting. Just have it done and truly get the most out of your engine mods. It make a HUGE difference .

What part of texas are you in, i might be able to help you out. Im in S/E Ok.

Actually that's not true. ^^^ He doesn't HAVE to post pix,its just suggested . Free bump and a real fair deal for cyls already ported!
