  1. Makes perfect sense. Need to protect all the gears in there.
  2. If your cyls are pretty much spent, id go this route > http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=150211 Reliable, pump gas, very usable broad power.
  3. 1. Because we don't all have foundries in our backyards. 2. Because we prefer billet over cast.
  4. I wouldnt say you wasted it. Just keep an eye on hte boots, when they crack ,replace them with a quality boot. In the meantime , seal all the joints with Motoseal or grey sealant before installing.
  5. Here > http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=142960 Some people were getting genuine Mikuni boots, others weren't . I didnt mind my Boss intake, until i discovered the boot issue and learned you had to seal them. Then i started using UPP intakes and never looked back.
  6. From what ive heard, the earlier models had Mikuni boots on them. Or maybe it was just a hit-and-miss thing at the time. But now it seems that ALL of them come with the no-name boots.
  7. Not true. Ive seen them crack when they were tightened properly. the same amount any other intake can handle,,why cant Boss handle it? you can compare them brand new side-by-side with genuine Mikuni and tell the compound is not the same. And what use is an intake that isnt resistant to gasoline, one that softens when exposed to gas?? And they are NOTORIOUS for leaking, even you have stated that they have to be sealed so as not to leak. why go through that when there are perfectly good options that dont have those problems? Also, Ive NEVER had UPP intake rub the clutch arm,if anything they angle up just a touch too much..for CPI inframe anyway. They fit perfect for Shearer inframes.
  8. Yep! Was supposed to meet a guy awhile back with a set ,but he didn't show...so yea,Still up for sale.
  9. Cant stand them. They come with cheap rubber boots that crack all too soon ( buy genuine Mikuni ones for 40.00 to fix) and require that you goop them with sealant so they don't leak. Other than that, they are pretty good. Buy UPP or buy Chariot . Chariot comes with high quality boots and UPP are one similar to factory style , which have less areas that can possibly leak.
  10. I talked to Wes a bunch over some A Arms i was planning to sell, but then things feel through on MY end (couldnt get a replacement set for myself soon enough) so i had to back out of the deal,so i wouldnt be down... I didnt see Wes get on here and bad mouth me,even though he could have. He understood the position i was in ,and moved on. To the OP, you could learn from the very man you are bad mouthing. Just saying.
  11. I have a nice set of Shearer Smallbore inframes (that fit well) with no cracks and the silencers will be coming back from PC shortly. The whole silencer assembly (minus the removable cap) are PC'd black. Chrome is good,no cracks,no dings, dents, etc. New Orings. Im only interested in (double oring style) Shearer OOFs in smallbore, small flange configuration. I might consider one out each side, but would prefer two out the left. Unsilenced only. If they are bare, they must be rust free. If you have some you want to trade, shoot me some pix via PM. Thanks!
  12. Umm,,, no. .100 over is only a 382 if memory serves,so you dont have a 420cc.
  13. WUUUT??
  14. By "weak rod" do you mean hydro-lock susceptible?
  15. I have a factory one already slotted from 0-+5* . 10bux
  16. ^^^ If you only knew what he has you wouldnt have said that, bucko.
  17. I have been informed that the pot scrubbers may not be the best way to go. It might be better if you did your own research on silencer packing materials. Maybe Passion or SRP could post some input??? I will say that I've ran these scrubbers for a long while without any problems, but the info i recieved seems to indicate thaty might not be the best way to go... It would be nice if someone with more pipe knowledge would chime in. Thanks!
  18. If you need me to,i can buff it to a nice polish.
  19. I have the adapter. 25.00. Has the oring .
  20. I use the stainless commercial pot scrubbers. Last long too.
  21. ^^^ This man speaks the truth.
