id get 39mm PWKS. have ran them on a 4mm stock cyl dune port, a 421cub and a 465cub. Worked great on all of them.

nah, no ban. Stuff like this is good for business. It just made Wheelman drop a few 1000 for an engine to whoop SRP. there are probably a few people that just decided to have new engine built/updated this winter,just because of talk like this.

also check the carbs float level.

I don't know about you finch,but I've always found it MUCH easier to TALK a bunch of crap, then to actually BACK IT UP...

dont agree with this ^^^ because you NEED to identify what EXACTLY the problem was ,so as not to repeat it. Instead of just saying the piston was "crap" or Athena is "crap", and throwing a new piston in,,and then it happen again. Id call Cam at Redline as he has messed with several Athena kits if i remember correctly.

A few extra jets isn't that much money compared to you wanting to run billet Mattoon cases on a stock stroke Serval.... and its alot cheaper than buying a NEW Serval topend. Just get some jets,,or call your engine builder...or get some jets and sell the ones you dont need. they are only about 2.00 each man.

you did do something wrong. haha. He's saying if it got cold you should have upped your jetting and ran it lean. then heat/and or deto set in....your mistake. Also possible that the oil had separated . But im betting on lean/and or deto. the reason im saying its prolly not oil separation,is because it hasn't been that cold in your area BTW. not saying its not possible,just not too likely unless temps are down to 32* for awhile ..depending on oil of course.

yep. Do some research on reading piston wash.

That piston is not showing rich. At least according to the info ive seen, you should see some piston wash across the top. not solid black like that. Looks lean to me.
