  1. Nevermind , not looking for a round house
  2. Pics of the +6 swinger and the red shocks? Prices?
  3. How much for the plus 6 swingarm? And what color springs do the shocks have?
  4. I'm doing a rebuild and my color scheme is black and red , I got the white spring shocks though . Anyone with a good stock rear shock with a red spring or just wanna trade springs instead of whole shock? Lmk!
  5. The A/C stadium bumper gets my vote , I want one for my shee .
  6. I've heard people will also drill out the pingle , get some more fuel flow through that as well Sounds like the dual will work just fine for you
  7. You need to rejet after going to pod filters ! I prefer no airbox as well , I stay away from K&N , UNI foam filter with an outerwears is far better protection , IMHUO !
  8. I have a pair of oneal pistons , they are getting broke in so the mobility is getting better . Best thing to keep sand out is get a pair of over the boot riding pants , I have a nice MM pair and they zip down to shorts as well . Those half boots just dont provide the protection I like , and anyone that rides a quad in tennis shoes is certifiable ......
  9. Maxima Super M baby !!!!! 32:1 and I run the power bands from kaleco auto www.kalecoauto.com
  10. That's great info , never thought about marine oil before . I've had nothing but great results from Maxima Super M synthetic , it's a racing formula , low smoke properties and is very reasonable in price . I'll stick with it , but in a pinch I now know a good safe alternative
  11. Pull the reeds and see what you get !
  12. Like I said previous , they ( boost bottles ) do very little or nothing at all for reed valve motors , as the reeds prevent the pulses from pushing back through the carb/s.
  13. To be 100% clear , I know they do nothing for a reed valve engine . They are a waste and are more likely to cause a air leak than anything else . As far as the 2 strokes in the pocket bikes we rode they did a great deal , night and day difference on acceleration through corners .......
  14. Heres my 2000 , its coming along nice now that I've had time to work on it . frame , plastics , a arms , swing arm and carrier will be flat black . Red hubs , springs , rad grill and dog bone . Polished ITP's , and a few other trinkets . 2-1 intake with 33mm pwk and motofast 2-1 exhaust . The rear plastics need shaping , sanding and painting . Doing that tomorrow . Once thats done I get the task of putting it all back together !!! Hopefully I remember where it all goes .......
  15. Boost bottles provide a performance boost from idle or just off throttle to mid throttle on 2 stroke engines that don't use reed valves , my bro back in the late 80's and 90's designed and build and made a lot of money making them . The pocket bike rage used these engines that didn't have reed valves , just port timing and port position in the cylinder . This set up would cause air and fuel to always be forced back through the carburetor , causing a overrich ( subsequent bogging ) on the next on throttle position . Essentially the problem was cause on cornering so you have a powerloss getting back onto the throttle . The boost bottle gave that excess air and fuel a place to go instead of back through the carb and that aggitated atomized mixture is drawn from 1st from the boost bottle , it acts like a lung , the engine breathes first from it , then turns to the carb to keep feeding it fuel . The reed valves basically take the place of the bottle by trapping the excess air/fuel mixture in the crank case .
  16. I'm painting my shee , flat black , painting takes a lot of time , just when you think youve got the frame covered , you see it from a different angle . Krylon fusion paint is what I'm using , it's great paint , has a epoxy based primer and adheres great . Excellent elastomer properties as well , stays very flexible .
  17. Anyone paint their stock springs? I want to paint my rear spring red , is there a paint out there that will last , and not crack ? I guess a paint with a elastomer property to it is what I need . Any suggestions?
  18. Probably wouldn't hurt to replace the stem bearing and seal too , I'll add that to the list .
  19. Probably wouldn't hurt to replace the stem bearing and seal too , I'll add that to the list .
  20. sweet , thanks for the help bro .... This is the 1st set of front bearings I've done on the shee , hopefully the last for a long time .
  21. Those are Hard to find , I lucked out finding my motofast 2-1 and silencer . Check Ebay , and I did see a dynoport for sale in the classified section . that was awhile back but I don't remember seeing that it had sold.
  22. Thats what I'm Thinkin !!!!! yep , gettin ditched !!!! I'm hoping the bearings will remove easy , use a socket and a extension to drive them out? Maybe some PB Blaster sprayed on them and sit over night to help with removal .....
  23. I'm rebuilding the shee and doing a full frame up , so I'm doing a lot of work and found a bad front wheel bearing , its just stiff as hell and i could hear some grinding in it so 20 bones on bearings and seals is no skin off my back . I took the front hubs all the way down to just the hubs , and pulled the brake rotors and the hubs will get painted red before re-assembly . Heres my question , my backing plates are pretty beat up and I'm just considering not even running them , anyone do the same? I'm rebuilding the hubs with sealed bearings and I ride 99% sand , 1% snow ( we hardly ever get any snow here in Tacoma , Wa ) . Just wondering anyones thoughts or if someone has had a bad problem crop up from it , or no problems at all ...... LMK
  24. if its that small , then no worries about a GPS , I still like having mine with me , especially at night . when I make it to glamis , I'll still bring it , cheap insurance if you ask me .
  25. Wd-40 before you ride in the sand , it works just fine for us , easier clean up at the end of the day . adds protection from the sand as well . Now if you use a heavy grease based lube , then you'll have a sand magnet for a drive chain . Good luck cleaning that shit up .
