Are you sure your jetted properly? If you are staying with a 450 and modded 400 you got problems. Are you running it through the snorkel?

Ill tell you what it would take 150 hp/450lb * 400lb =133.33hp it would take a 133.33hp banshee to be even. And the redline doesn't even start untill 12500 rpm and pulls to 13500 fyi to your fyi to me! Just my 3 cents to the haters.

and will still get beat by a banshee motor It would take a hell of a banshee motor My banshee in my sig is not even a challenge. The 1000 has arm ripper torque and revs out forever, oh and fuel injected works like a dream FYI.

Started a project of putting a 2001 fuel injected GSXR 1000 in a banshee frame. I have my fuel tank under the seat and when my suspension is fully compressed my tank will just about touch the brake caliper! I am 200lb and the motor is at least 100 pounds if not more, so the suspension sags a little with just the weight of the engine. What I really need is a shock 1-2 inches longer so it bottoms before the tank hits something! Ill get some pics up asap of this beast. Its 165HP !!!

what kind of reg/rect are you using? Stock stator?

you dont need to remove a float. Just drill the hole out a tiny bit bigger and set the floats very high and you will be fine.

If you think pulling the lid will need 5 jet sizes (280-230=50, which is 5 sizes) then what is your dealers number? must be some good crack. You are way lean like myself and everyone else said, or you cant ride to save your life. Stock banshee's can ride wheelies all day, through 6'th if you know what your doing.

lowered my needle 1 clip and it runs great now.. I double checked and my mains are a 165.

Who did the porting? Will them need bored? What size domes, or what was the compression? ( Pump, race gas?) Did they run good?

my press only goes to 5 tons, and I had a axle not come free. Busted the torch out while 5 tons were on it and BANG!!! You will know when it comes loose.

i looked at my plugs after i rode pretty balls out to a friend house, about 2 miles. I pulled in and looked at my plugs and they looked lean. It was running like shit too. Put my air bow lid on and it runs better? I figured I would be at like 155?
