  1. it does have the biggest intake, theres no radvalve for it but theres a v force 3 for them now. the 250 and 500 have the same reed valve as you probably know. the LT makes a great woods machine but doesnt give that banshee feeling we all crave
  2. stock head with 60 over wisecos. gonna try to lean out a new gas mixture, it idles good but has bad throttle response and isnt revving hard.
  3. out of nowhere one day I go to start it and it runs like shit, I did a leak test it held, cleaned the carbs twice, did a compression test(both about 117). what its doing is smoking alot, the plugs are oily, even has oil on the mufler tips. the mains are 310, clip middle, 27.5 pilot. the thing that drives me crazy is when I parked it there was no issues with its operation. I mixed 93 octane with about 10oz of klotz. the freakin exaust doesnt smell like klotz should.
  4. I have 22s and personally rather run 20s even in the woods. I say 20s in back and 21 or 22 fronts. remember we all have a riding style some different then others, I like 9 inch rear rims for trails because 10s always get ruined for me and 22s have too much side wall flex. I started on 3 wheelers so I like to power slide and the 22s dont feel right doing that. you need to consider your style and how your going to be riding the bike, two guys can ride the same exact trail but go through it differently you know what I mean?
  5. sorry I didnt get that one borich's bike should be pretty fast already I bet. does it have a LRD powervalved top end?
  6. chris borich's R? thats bad ass! if its set up for woods the porting must be for torque instead of high rpms and obviously the sprockets need to be changed. your bike is made to win in the woods, I say if you wanna beat banshees in drag to get a banshee your self! keep the R though thats sick. I wonder if anyone knows where bill balences R ended up after it was stolen with his race trailer?
  7. Great job and great site!
  8. you gotta expect to get your balls broken on here with a craptor 734 Harley big bore! Just entertainment for the twin cylinder guys, nothing personal
  9. Everyone has a person or place they prefer, fact is there's lots of places that do good port work on Rs. I wouldn't be surprised if the site sponsors have done pretty good port work on Rs already.
  10. Pretty nice, it looks like you're gonna need tires and better handle bars, possibly nerfs if you like them
  11. I'm gonna get a new boot, just jb welded it to finish my leak test. It Almost held the pressur with the crack
  12. its a small crack I tried to fill and smooth it with jb weld, we'll see tomorrow if it works, just until I get the stock tube and another boot
  13. did the leak test, sure enough the boost bottle cracked my intake boot! Im only using it because I dont have the stock tube
  14. this is the adjustable part
  15. not a great pic but thats me on my buddys TRX that has a LRD adjustable, look closely lol
  16. last I checked they had, big bore pipe, adjustable pipe, and non adjustable. the LRD adjustable does un bolt in the center to adjust the range you run in
  17. I have a 86 in my back yard, this day and age they pale in comparison to the 87 to 92 LTs. 85-86 had no power valve plus the funny reeds that sit inside the jug, and only 5 speed with inferior chassis

  19. I didnt want the yellow and blue look, my friends were like LT's arent red, but I dont really care. I agree the FMF sucks for the LT but it came with it almost brand new and after building the motor etc, I just decided that I wasnt fully happy and chose to trade it for the banshee. other then the +2 a arms the LT was a great trail bike. personally I prefer a bike thats weak in trails but pulls to the moon when opened up. like I said, I wish I still had it but I did what I had to do to get a banshee
  20. its a 87 LT250 I had CT Racing do the entire top end on with hotrod crank. I miss it but wouldnt give my shee up for it thats for sure. cant remember who but someone asked for me to post it before
  21. depending on the mods and how its treated and rode, it can last 15 years or a few months in bad cases. theres really no way to judge the crank without taking the top end off you just have to be sure the bike you buy seems taken care of and not beat on with no maintnance. If you buy a beater you might very well get a crank with bad bearings or in early seperation
  22. of course there is you ride a craptor
