  2. Honestly, I have a size 14 boot, and I find myself rolling my foot outwards to shift, rather than clicking it upwards with my toe. I run a pro design shifter which is slightly longer.

  11. Welcome bro! All year banshees are 350s to start off with. Once you get the bug, youll be upping the ccs and power. Yours is a j arm model if its an 89. A few different plugs, hub stud configurations etc.....but youlll get the hang of it.
  12. We are having a bunch of the guys together this weekend at my buddies farm. Last year we built a 15 acre track on site, and this is the first year we will really be able to get to ride it. We are also 15 minutesa away from Horseshoe Valley trail system. Anyone interested in coming along, let me know. Its in the Orillia area.
  13. How much for the rear shock? pics please to fulldeck@rogers.com
  14. First of all welcome to the site, youll find an answer. Oh and buy a clymers manual for it. Start off with the carbs. Make sure you have everything in the correct carb, theyre different, and make sure that they are truly cleaned out correctly. While youre in there, look at what size jets are presently in them. Youll have to remove the plastic clip to get to the pilots. Make sure the tube is on between the carbs, it helps to equalize the pressure supposedly. It sounds like a couple of things it could be for the high revving, but my suspiscion is it out of gas? Dont rely on the reserve, I just told this to another guy. Its definitely leaning out, so check the airbox area, make sure the filter is cleaned out correctly, look for air leaks though. Also check the throttle cable and make sure its not hung up or somehow being stretched. Hard starting can also be caused by low compression, so check your compression! The smoking could be as simple as the mixture being wrong, what are you mixing it at? What colour is the smoke, does it smell like fuel being burnt, or like coolant, is it sweet smelling? Where are you?, what type of riding are you doing?
  15. This might sound stupid, but check to make sure theres gas in the tank, mine did that once.
  16. OK, so I ended up taking the motor out, but I didnt split the cases. I started by trying to gingerly turn the motor over with a breaker bar. When it moved, I listened to wear the binding was happening. I finally located the spot. It was the screw that holds the wire bundle onto my adjustable timing plate, binding against the the back of the flywheel as it turned.I turned the clip and tucked the wires in behind the plate, and everything was good to go. Bike started after 2-3 kicks. Now were doing the second heat cycle. Thanks for your help guys, I really wasnt looking forward to splitting the cases again so soon!
  17. for the future, Im looking for a pipe, and a arms tires etc...
  18. See its an opinion thing! I stay away from a synthetic oil in winter, as it can break down into its base components, and cause issues. I use Samurai in the summer, castor in winter, all at 40:1, and type F tranny fluid in the cases
  19. thanks fellas, it was a bad wire it seems.
