JustT got My banshee now some questions
06BCBANSHEE replied to bambam7689's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I would just use 10w30 motor oil like the manuel says. It works fine. Change it often. Every 2 or 3 rides. Just dont see the point of paying over ten bucks for a quart of klotz flex drive. If you change it often you should be fine. It takes 1.5L of oil. -

No need to be a dick. All i wad saying is their seems to be alot of guys from st louis. They seem to be a pretty good company so i wanted some input. -
Some people are so gangster. Fuck da da da rev limiter.

Na never had it apart. Looks like its missing a washer that goes between the bottom nut and oil seal. Gonna try that hopefully that fixes it. Thanks man

Was just wondering, the upper part o the steering shaft seems to have quit a bit of play. Maybe 3-5 mm when i pull up on the handle bars. I checked to make sure the washers where in place at the bottom of the shaft. Bolts are tight. Do i need new bearings?

Cant believe all u guys in st louis didnt chime in here. I ordered some stage 2 from them , they seem pretty legit. Hope duty on them isnt too much:( -
Like everyone said its a good deal for him bad for you. Sell ur z400 and save for a nice banshee. Im like u i had a z400 and switched to the banshee. You prob think your 400 is fast? I did lol. NOTHING compared to a shee!!
-
If i was you i would do pipes, filter, timing plate, then work on the suspension. I added yfz shocks and now am ordering elkas. The yfz alone made a world of diferance.

Also anyone ever ordered from precision powersports? They can get me stage 2 elkas with adjustable compression and pteload for $940 shipped to my door. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Need input guys!!!! Want new shocks, and its riding season! -
so because i didnt realize i have long travel a arms, i now need to order some shocks. I got some quotes from works performance i have narrowed it down to a few. 1) pro piggy back 2 w/triple rate springs threaded preloud and adjustable compression damping piggyback reservoirs $965 a pair 2) Pro G3 triple rate springs, threaded preload , dual line high speed compression adjustable remote reservoirs and adjustable rebound damping $1239 a pair 3) pro piggyback3 triple rate springs, threaded preload, adjustable compression dampening piggyback reservoirs, and adjustable damping @ $1105 a air 4) black widow piggyback 4 triple rate springs, threaded preload, high and low speed adjustable compression damping piggyback reservoirs and adjustable rebound damping $1219 5) pro G4 threaded preload, dual line high and low speed compression adjustable remote reservors and adjustable rebound dampening $1325 a pair I ride mostly trails, but i ride them fast and hard. I would like to start hitting the track. I dont see me hitting 60-100 ft jumps, but who knows maybe if i had good suspension i might I would like to stay around the $900-1100 range. But If it is worth it to spend the extra couple hundred dollars then i would consider the more expensive options. appreciate your input guys. After i purchase these I will be getting a elka elite long travel rear shock as well. Dont really need it but i found one for $750 with long travel linkeage. lemme know what you guys think
-
nice work! looks pretty clean to me
-
unless your riding on the street, why would anyone wanna lower it
-
I used eyeball engineering long travel arms. They bolted up with no problems at all. Its super low now because i need the long travel shocks. It will work for now anyways
-
Haha there you are Aman. Yup gonna try to do that until i can get some long travel shocks. Got no other choice really. Thanks again Aman!!
-
I dont know how to upload pics on here. Theirs prob 6-8 inches of clearence. Ill measure when i get off work. I contacted eyeball enginwering and i need 18.75 " shocks. I found some stadium shocks that are fully adjustable. But i dont have the cash right now. I guess ill have to stick to the smooth trails until i can get some proper shocks
-
No one knows if this ok to ride? I found some stadium long travel shocks as well, kinda expensive. Are these any good
-
hey guys so i bought some yfz 450 shocks of a member of here (not sure of his user name on here) we put them on my long travel a arms. I didnt know they where long travel arms when i bought them used. everything seems good, it just sits really low now. can i still jump it and everything? dont wanna wreck anything. I am gonna start saving for some long travel shocks. does works make long travel front shocks? couldnt find anything on ebay. kinda sucks that its so low cause i ride mostly trails and what not, but oh well still 20x better than stock garbage. also whats the best place to buy new shocks from if im getting them shipped to canada lemme know what u guys think
-
you could use long travel a arms and yfz 450 shocks? just got mine put on didnt realize the arms where long travel when i bought them used. its pretty low to the ground now. can i still jump it and shit now? im gonna try to save up for some long travel shocks

Official 2 stroke oil mix preference
06BCBANSHEE replied to Tdaz250's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I couldnt even get it by the gallon out here. I could only get it in 500ml bottles. which was like 12.99 a bottle. belray was 60 for a gallon. so thats why i switched. I thought belray makes the best stuff so thats another reason why i switched. -

I switched from redline synthetic to Belray HC-1 synthetic oil. was sick of spending 13 bucks on a 500ml bottle for the redline. Local shop has the belray for $60 a gallon. nobody runs belray? figued it would be better than redline havent had a chance to try it out yet -
