so guys i just rebuilt the shee from the crank up, every thing was great for a few days, now sometimes it wont shift, with or without the clutch pulled in. it acts as if i have to have it at a certain rpm to shift it, the tranny looked nice when i was in the bottom end replacing the crank, all fluids are where they should be, its a brand new clutch also i have the arrows lined up on the clutch boss ans the pressure plate and the marks line up on the case and the peice the clutch cable hooks to. im stumped any help or ideas would be appreciated greatly, thanks in advance

i agree the clymers is the best 30 bucks you'll ever spend, but you shouldnt need it to just remove the motor, if your gonna open the motor than get one. i actaully took my motor out from the clutch side it dont really matter though it will come out either side, and it dont matter in what order you remove the motor mounts. just take off the footpeg for whatever side you want to take it out undo the motor mounts and take it out, of course unconect the wires going to the stator and the top caps on the carbs and a couple hoses obviosly its really no big deal at all, if ya run into a problem post it and you'll get an answer pretty quick, i always did this place is awesome and the people here love to help eachother out

wow, i dont know why you guys cant believe it will go 105, i dont know this guy but i do know mine went 104 on the gps. all you guys build your drag bikes and run it 300 feet and think its the shit. stay on it a little longer and see what its got, run the fuckin thing dont be scared your gonna hurt it whats gonna happen rebuild it again? big fuckin deal balls up and do it. i do agree it aint worth 2500 and it damn sure is ugly but i dont doubt it will do 100 or so ive done it. my last shee was stock down a tooth in front up one in the rear it went 94 next to my brothers truck. all these shit talkin posts are getting old fast espesially from people who cant even offord to become a member, they just come in thinking they know it all about banshees. example= this retard windy city fuck head 39 posts and he's a pro all the sudden, i know we all want to think our shee is the fastest but all in all it aint. there is always gonna be a faster shee out there than yours, so how bout we grow the fuck up a little and stop talking shit about other peoples machines or balls up and meet for a race. wtf acting like little girls fighting over bra sizes

woh, dont take it that way bro im not trying to blow you up or anything, i was just pointing it out to the guy and i agree its a good option if ya want to save some cash dont take it the wrong way. and i agree with the guy above, alf is a great guy to do business with i dont have anything to complain about at all, ive helped him out with parts and he has certainly done the same for me
-
holy shit alf, a new chariot timing plate is only 35 bucks on ebay dude. id go with a new one with all the timing marks so you know where your at. just my .02
-
dude, id let him rip it in the snow first, that will let him get a feel for the powerband hitting and hopefully it will be spinning when it hits so it wont launck him off the back. it should also give a feel for leaning with or against the bike when its sliding, i also agree with the guy that said turn in the throttle stop a bit just to be safe. my son is 8 now and i started him on a pw50 when he was 4 by time he turned 6 i was actaually quite impressed but nervous at the same time once he got the hang of it he was balls out all the time with that little fucker, he also had a little 50cc quad but outgrew it so i got him a 90cc raptor and he loves it,
-
check out ebay bro, i saw a shitload on there for around 120 bucks, i have an extra set but i wouldnt let em go for under 200 just cause as soon as i do ill probly throw the chain and break mine, lol thats just how my luck is

trintiy single carb set up? should I convert?
baker replied to Gurnzz's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i agree 100%. a friend of mine has the 2 into 1 setup its nothin but problems for him, my dad and brother are yamaha certified mechanics and they say you will get better performance out of stock carbs properly sinked than the trinity setup, i beleive it my carbs give me no problems at all its been said on here that banshees are twins dont do any 2 into 1 setups. --- carb, dynoport pipe, or even the toomy air filter system, ive got the filter set up though it hasnt given me any issues, its basicly the same as runnin a stock filter other than no airbox. imo stick with the stock carbs -
what do you want for them? evn though the fronts have a chunk missing
-
just buy a new crank their easy to put in just get a clymers, ive done top ends before but i was worried about the crankjob i had to do but man its cake, the shee motor splits top and bottom, so easy to do i just finished mine and it runs great, all new top to bottom
