  1. its true the 250r is no fin joke i have a 84 tecate3 its stock and dont have a problem launching my 210 pounds right off on my ass of course the rear brakes aint workin but even so that front tire dont stay down, im waitin for my ported cyls. to get here then im throwin a buddy on that tecate just for a little fun run down the feild

  4. what octane gas should i run with the ported cyl. the guy i bought them from in oregon says to run a 50/50 mix of race gas and regular, any thoughts on jet size with ported cyl. and fmf fattys
  5. hey dude, i was gonna put the new shit on myself i dont have a builder but my dad and younger bro are yamaha certified mechanics. but what the hell is the port timing on the jugs? and could i do it with my dyna fs ignition?
  6. well to be honest im not sure what year my shee is, i was told its a 99 but on the info from bansh-eman it says they were made for the 87-96 bikes, ill have to go to my buddys garage and get the numbers off the frame and motor and check it out, i cant figure out how to do a pm anybody want to let me know?
  7. wow,thanks bansh-eman i just bought this bike a couple weeks ago it did have stock pipes, the guy said it was worked up with a fresh rebuild only 5 tanks ran through it. the thing was a problem from day 1, day 3 it blew up , i did a comp. check left side had 130psi right side had 30psi, i took it apart the right side was fucked. i ran the numbers on the wiseco pistons it a 66mm bore, i believe it said .080 over. i just bought some dune/trail ported cyls. and new vitos power pistons off ebay, the seller says they are bored.040. also picked up fmf fattys for the new build, has stock carbs but not sure about coil, or stator ill have to check. i think im going back to a stock cdi so this motor dont melt down again. what do u think? any help is greatly appreciated this is my 2nd shee and i love them, just want a good runner should i ditch this ignition? also any recomendations for jetting with the ported cyl. and fattys thanks
  8. i ditched my key too my renthall bars wouldnt go where i wanted them with the key in it, so i simply turned on the switch and yanked the key out! like it was said if somoen wants it there gonna take it key or no key
  9. hey guys im pretty new to the site but it kicks ass and there is a lot of great advise here, im hoping somebody has or had a dyna fs cdi and can tell me what settings are for what? it has a plug with 2 small switches on it marked 1 and 2 they can be up or down im told its to change the spark curve and the timing. where should i set them at for breaking in my new motor? is this a good add on or should i swap it for a stock one? thanks for any help!!
  10. i wouldnt do it i just picked up a 99 shee, for 1100- of course it blew up three days later but i bought a set of ported cyl. and vitos pistons off ebay for 275=total spent 1375 just my opinoin

  12. hi guys im new to the forum, i bought a 99 banshee and she blew up. took it apart and the right piston was smoked, i just bought some dune/trail ported cyl. and vitos pistons it got 1mm over bore-.040 over cool head, fmf fattys,hotrods crank,k+n filter,boost bottle and a dynateck adjustable ignition, how should i jet this beast? im in ny and it is cold, i dont want to hurt my motor oh its got stock carbs with the tors still on it for now. thanks i appreciate the help
